Llewellyn's Armour Class is currently 8. I'm going to be nice and start all PCs with maximum Hit Points for their first adventure, (we'll be re-rolling before the commencement of each further undertaking), so he starts off with a mighty 6 hp!
A description and a line or two of back story would be welcome at your convenience.
AC:? (Full Plate Armor, as per the character's backstory.)
Primary Weapon: Sword
Other possessions of note: 12 coins (gold?). A worn-out cavalry cloak. A small, iron bottle with brandy.
A man who was sworn never to take off his armor, until he has attoned for sins from his past. A man, slowly getting strangled to death by the long beard under the helmet he has forbidden himself to shave.
The character's name is taken from David Gemmell's Morningstar novel, and the backstory, I've blatantly stolen from some YA fantasy book I read as a kid, and whose name I don't remember. I visualize the character as a darker, older version of Enki from the classic Dragon Quest TV series.
Equipment Lt. crossbow 2 cases w/ 8 quarrels each Leather armor Short sword Backpack 50' rope Wineskin Small sack Standard rations Oil flask Lantern
Remaining cash: 16 gp
Background: Like all half-dwarves, Squint wasn't quite accepted by Gondemarian society. After completing his training in woodcraft and archery, he set off for human lands. While he wasn't fully accepted there, Squint was able to impress the commander of Royal Company of Verderers with his skills. He was thus able to join in their ranks.
A couple of things to note: crossbow quarrels come only in quivers of 8 at 10gp cost, I'm afraid. But you've gold enough to stock up with a back-up quiver should you wish to do so.
Squint's Intelligence of 12 give him two points to spend on learning additional languages or in becoming literate in the ones he speaks. How would you like to assign these?
And can I ask for Squint's Chosen Enemy, please? He'll get a +1 in combat with these creatures providing he's only wearing leather armour. The most common choice of foe for a verderer is Forest Orc or Swamp Lord, but if you've something else in mind please let me know.
No problems. I'll redo the cost of quarrels. I'll opt for literacy for Squint. I don't know much about Swamp Lords; can I have more info on them, please? But I think I'll keep Forest Orcs as Squint's chosen enemy. Since he trained as a woodsman, he probably encountered a few of them.
Also, do bucklers negate verderer bonuses the way chain & plate do?
I pray for exactly seven things: strength, intelligence, wisdom, constitution, dexterity, charisma, and more hit points.
I'm afraid bucklers do. Sorry. Not to say you can't carry one, but using it reduces you to a standard fighter for the duration of the battle. Might be worth an investment for those moments when you want a little extra protection if you have to go toe-to-toe...
I'll try and get some more info on Swamp Lords up shortly.

Llewellyn the pixie is not as svelt as he would like, but his jolly face, impish smile, eyes that hint at mischief, and outgoing mannerisms have a charm all their own. He dresses as flamboyantly as he can afford, aping the costume of human courtiers

Backstory - Varg is from one of the northern hill tribes. Unlike most of his folk he had something of a desire to see the outside world, of course this was in part motivated by his shameful secret, in a drink induced fit he killed a fellow tribesman over a petty quarrel. Varg refuses any form of mind altering drink or substance to this day.
