Round one of combat;
Part init: 5
Movement: hobgoblin archers draw bows and advance.
Magic: ameldor spell is cast. With his coordination he manages to target just the enemy. The east doorway is open so you can center the spell correctly. Making the rolls, all four hobgoblins drop asleep.
The enemy is down out of combat rounds
Searching them you find four long swords, 2 shortbows and 24 arrows. They also had 5 gold pieces each.
Do you tie them up or kill them?

Father Mayhem isn't squeamish, though he does note that these humanoids apparently take prisoners - note Cullen - rather than kill outright. Father Mayhem suggests Cullen take a shortbow and a dozen arrows.

Taking the equipment and dispatching the hobgoblins. You head east and then south. You see the stairs going back up, ignoring those you head south for twenty more feet which then leads to a "t" intersection going east and west. The east passage goes ten ft then turns south. The west passageway goes at least 60 ft and perhaps more. 50ft on the west passageway there is a side passage going south. You hear sound of metal on metal echoing down the west hallway and a yellow glow ememates from that side passage.

Kynor creeps down the west cooridor. As he gets closer he hears voices and the metal on metal sounds like a forge. He reaches the side southern passage and sees it is a forge. The side south passage in the west cooridor goes twenty feet before opening up into a 50 ft by 50ft room. Four huge furnace fires burn along the west wall and the air is sooty and smoky. The fire are heating metal which is being forged into sword blades and spear heads. One large goblin and 8 hobgoblins are in the room. They are ordering a dwarf prisoner to do the work. The dwarf is chained to the wall.
Movement; kynor, damrod, ameldor, and airik enter the room.
Melee: the large goblin not sure who casted the spell but heard an elven dialect. randomly attacks one of the elves. Odds damrod even ameldor. Rolled a 10 evens attacks ameldor but rolls a 7 and misses. Ameldor attacks rolls a 9(5+4) and misses. Damrod attacks rolls a 13(12+2) and just misses. Kynor attacks rolls a 17 and hits. He causes 2 pts of damage injuring it. Airik attacks rolls a 19(15+4) and hits. His blade bites deep and causes 11(7+4) pts of damage killing it
Results: all opponents dead or asleep. The dwarf is asleep. We are out of melee.

The 8 hobgoblins all carry long swords. The large goblin had a large club. There are three finished longswords and three new shields made. Surprisingly the dwarf had a hammer nearby him and a hand axe. The hobgoblins each had 3 gold pieces each.
The goblins are all dead all you have left is the forges and sleeping dwarf
