So as we work away on #14 - out this month - I thought I'd take a moment to announce who the next issue would be dedicated to. Love to get people's ideas and submissions for the next one as we get #14 out to press!
We are also planning on getting the Big Book of Tables out this summer, and then more good stuff to follow...the 'zine will be at the OSR table at GenCon and also at WorldCon this year as well.
Fight on!

Um, is it just me, or did you not actually announce the dedication?

Interesting, I'm Mentzer era kid and know Holmes edition only out TSR Silver Anniversary Box.
I have to say his works seem really interesting, I have no idea what could be in articles like Confessions of a Dungeon Master published in Psychology Today or The Psychopathology of Wargamers: Shrinks and Simulations published in Space Gamer, but titles themself seem pretty heavy*.
*Heavy with sciense that is.

Great news! Good timing, too, as this fall marks 35 years since the Basic Set was originally published.
I hope to submit on a dungeon level I'm working on that could be used as a second level for the Holmes Sample Dungeon.

When can I start sending you articles for issue 15?
And is there a deadline for subs?

Zenopus, sounds great!
Leg1on, I haven't announced a deadline, it's typically a month or so after the issue before it comes out and 14 is still in the docks. But you can send things any time - if you want to make sure it's a "Holmes Issue" submission, just mark it as such when you send it!
Thanks!

I'd say mid-June, at the rate we're going. Will have a definite announcement following the imminent release of #14!

Hey, I just noticed this! I will try my best to contribute something - is there a place where I can find your writer's guidelines or some such?

is there a place where I can find your writer's guidelines of some such? There are no such guidelines. Effectively you just send it to Calithena by mail and he'll sort you out, as far as I remember.

Is there a newer deadline for subs to FO15? Or is it all full up? Thanks either way, Legion

Subs for 15 are still being gratefully accepted. Generally the deadline is a month after release. The schedule went like this for a couple years:
Pre-Issue Release Prep for Next Issue: Locate honorees or their personal or literary heirs, solicit articles based on their work as possible Issue Release End Month 1: Submissions Due Month 2: We do issue mock-up and solicit articles that seem to fit the overall frame of the issue. Month 3: Layout End Month 3: Issue Release
Hopefully the issue 15 schedule looks more like this than the issue 14 one did.

Send subs to: iggyumlaut at the google mails.
14 might be out this weekend if everything goes well. It's really right there.
We will deal with the next thing after that!

That's fantastic news. Time then to get going on #15, and what could be more appropriate what with the discovery of the Holmes Manuscript?

15 should be 3 months or so after 14. The best laid plans! Well, the second best time to start something is today.
