IMHO don't bother. The problem is that 1066's map is printed on the back of LB.

John, the author, was anoter of the original group. He had outlined a whole seriesof books and maps. SP and SE suffered from the NIH problem that killed TEKUMEL.

The pictures were great. I was an ACW re-enactor myself. Yes I have done S&S several times. Where did you think the tank parked in front Svenny's freehold came from.
To get there you can either take the 'bridge to nowhere, o jump out of The Comeback Inn while it is in transit. Well those are the 'easy' ways. ;-)

Not too surprising since Mike was the 'Bishop" in the original campaign. As well as The Reverand in the Wild West campaign.

OK here is the latest. Stillwaiting for a publication opening at GHQ. "Real soon now">
There will be PDF files for all single ship actions in the American Revolution, French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars and, of course, The war of 1812. These are based primarily on a six volume set of NAVAL HISTORY OF GREAT BRITIAN by James.
There are also a set of Campaign rules which I am testing next month. And finially their was a set of "Privateer" rules based on the AWI where each player has a ship, goes raiding, and progress up the command ladder based on how well they do. Pretty well tested but needs anther run through. That's about as close to RPG as DGTS gets.

Generally fireballs are "one size fits all". I allow smaller ones but the spell is still a spells. The components are used up. Why smaller ones? Well there are times you don't want to take down half the house to get one Goblin. "Like being sneaky."
But hey, it's your world after all

OK here it is. It was believed by TSR that Hobbit was CC JRR Tolkien. We even got a nasty note from them. So Hobbit was expunged and either dropped or Halfling replaced it. Now it turned out that wasn't true and at that time the estate was a toothless wonder. As we learned the truth that changed again. This happened with WOM and G, GD And H as well.

The most fun was when the players were stuck about what to do next. Some of the discussions were priceless! Rarely did it have anything to do with what I had in mind. It did give e great ideas for what to with them next, however
The major changes were lack of 'well defined' character classes, if you made your saving throw you suffered NO damage, And magic was handled more like is was in Adventures In Fantasy. There were many other details but these were the biggies.

Sadly, Bob is gone. (Great guy) Bob's son has taken over and does not have a problem as of Sept. Now we just have to find the resources. We are still checking. Either Code Monkey or a PDF, I suspect.

Good news. Greg is preparing maps etc of his castle. Not just the dumpy little freehold in FFC. He is looking for a publisher. We are also checking with WOTC to see if there is a problem. Although I don't know why there would be.
As we hear more we will keep everyone posted.

Yes, it is pretty much from my notes and mind. Brought up to date for d20. Tried to stay faithful to the original spirit of the game. Stuff was expanded form the original as Greg pointed out.
Code Monkey publishing will be doing a lot of the work in the future. Dustin is handling the electronic side of the company. Which was taking up a lot of time. I will still be doing approval of everything blackmoor with the able assistance of my son-in-law. Who has been role playing with us for some fifteen years now.
Everything Blackmoor was well recieved at Gencon. But, although I autographed hundreds of items only one guy wanted a 4e autographed. 4e doesn't see to be catching on. Abet code monkey would do a 'translation' if the demand was there. How odd?

No, never any mamoths and dinosaurs. One tank. I carefully kept track of ammo consumption and gasoline usage. Amazing how quickly they were used up. The tanker truck gas quickly evaporated. And they forgot cleaning supplies for the guns. After all they were mostly arcane types, and the 'modern guys' forgot about. Ahh too bad.
Then there were the German commands on the airplane. By then the guys had caught on by then.
Still have all those Japanese on the submarine somewhere. I must clean up that loose end someday. They knew about sword fighting and hand-t-hand combat. Not to mention that ninja stuff.

I would like this place to just support basic role playing without a lot of rules that just slow the game down. Just role playing not roll playing.

In the original rules, no. But the example imply that they are d6. Frankly we always used 2d10 or 2d6 +6. Worked out OK. Plus if your rolls were bd you just started over.

I find that you are more content with; 1) Re-rolling the highest and lowest number. 2) Roll the two dice (not three) but add +6 3) If your total is less than 50-60 just start over.
After all you are a special being not some weak kneed court fop.
