Creating a separate thread to update on the upcoming re-release of AFS zine #1 and this be the place Hoping to have this out within the next couple weeks. Quick update on getting this out/released: The writing is complete on the new adventure 'Captain Zhudo and the Last Crown of Atlantis' to be included. Just have to get the map completed now from it's rough draft and I am having a person digitize it for print. All other layout/editing for the magazine is complete. This means the first run is now a collectors item! Oh well, mine has been written in, dog-eared, beer stained, and cigar burnt. Then again, maybe it's now a one-of-a-kind!

I don't suppose there's anyway that those of us who purchased the original first issue can get our hands on the new material? Perhaps a pdf or even loose sheets? I'd happily pay to have the new articles posted to me, but I wouldn't want to re-purchase the entire issue.

I'd happily pay to have the new articles posted to me, but I wouldn't want to re-purchase the entire issue. Good question, and one I'll have to dwell on for a bit. I'm not much on experience with pdf creation and distribution to be honest. My intention with this re-issue is not necessarily to try and sell a ton of new magazines, but to make it available again in a new improved format that I am pleased with the result of. Understanding this is a print only zine with a cost associated and to be fair to those that purchased the former version of Issue #1 - I will likely try and make the new/different material available (if they don't have a desire to collect in print the updated zine) for free if I can manage an easy way to do so somewhere in the near future perhaps slightly after the normal release.

The new adventure written for the re-release features the 'Ziege Men' as detailed in AFS zine #2. It is set in Hyperborea (Kimmerian Steppe) but is written in common old school D&D game stats. It is fairly high level 5-8, is a bit gonzo/fantastical in nature, and features some real possibilities of a memorable death if one were not careful..
For those who purchased #1 before who are not interested in purchasing this re-release in print - I will make this available for free via an emailed Word doc or pdf

Update: Got the map back from 'Captain Zhudo and the Last Crown of Atlantis' in it's blued/digitized form (posted below). I plan to print the map in color on a light cardstock to be included in the zine. That represents the last missing piece to getting this out. Now I just have to finalize a few odds and ends. Should be ready for release soon for those with interest..

Just a heads up that there are only 3 numbered copies left of the initial 15 copy batch run of the re-release of Issue #1 if anyone cares to snag a numbered copy.
The magazine will still be offered afterwards without the numbering. Thank you
