This is enthralling. We followed the saga of SMKSensei’s shipment, every step of the way, from December 17 to January 6. Now we can follow the saga of capheind’s shipment, every step of the way, from January 17 to February 5.

You really should try checking your sarcasm at the door here. This is about the only D&D forum where we don't have to put up with that s hit.

Yours ships out on Friday. Very cool! If it helps...I'm still at the same address. No changes. Look forward to hearing from you Friday!

If it helps know where we are at, just as many Delving Deeper Boxed Sets pre-orders were received at BHP in January-February 2011 as were ordered from March 2011 - today. In other words, just over half of the pre-orders will be shipped by Monday. Folks that ordered from March 2011 thru this week will be getting their boxed set tracking numbers in the next couple of weeks.
I would post more updates, but I am busy working all day.

Well, I can’t be the only one this frustrated. I expect you are not. Yet John has been open about his problems to this point, and his regrets about the whole project. Given the quality of BHP's products, I'd hate to see him pack the whole thing in and say to hell with all of us. Instead of the sarcasm and negativity, let's all try to be supportive and patient for just a bit longer. It's not as if there aren't other games to play until your copy arrives, and the free version is there if you just can't wait to get started.

I feel you guys – austrodavicus and Koren n'Rhys – are way overreacting to my post. Gentlemen, we have been posting together here for many years, now. We clearly share a passion for OD&D and an interest in DD. I don’t understand why you want me to make me feel like I can’t share my frustration with you here at ODD74, in a mild manner that I really think hasn’t crossed any line of incivility towards anyone. If you can’t look back over the first four pages of this thread and laugh just a little bit because you share the feeling of enviously, anxiously following the shipping progress of SMKSensei’s and capheind’s boxes for the past month and a half, that’s fine – but you have no call to rake me over the coals for it.
Listen, I made a purchase in early 2011, a purchase which was not trivial to me in 2011, and for which I had to make sacrifices and for which I had to be accountable to my wife. This purchase was supposed to ship in the first week of April 2011, remember? We had planned to give it as a very special gift, you see… All this is nobody’s business, and really doesn’t matter, I guess, expect to hopefully illustrate that there are two sides to every story.

It's quite simple Falconer and I don't understand why some folks don't get it - play the ball and not the man.

For my part, I guess I see it as too much piling on the guy, and I just feel bad for him. A string of illness, and family in the hospital, lost jobs, and so on. That said, I DO see your point of view, too. You paid good money, two years ago. But in the end, its been so long at this point that I can't see a few more weeks really making a difference. You just need to laugh about the mess the whole thing became. I would post more updates, but I am busy working all day. I'm in no place to put words in John's mouth, but to me this reads as a very fed-up individual. He's doing all he can to make it right and get on with his life. He is very much aware of how it all looks and reflects on him and I just don't see how adding to his guilt(?) helps anyone. If I've read too much into your comment, Falconer, then I do apologize. But my comment in John's defense wasn't aimed solely at you either. When it comes down to it, I don't even have a dog in this fight. I've said elsewhere I didn't even order a box. But I have followed the long process with interest and anticipation of what DD would bring to the table and will be buying a hardback once it comes out in that format. I can't do that until the boxes are all shipped and John has time to put that version together. So, ultimately, my wait will be longer yet. Not here to argue over it - this board is a pleasant refuge from that sort of thing, as has been noted. I'll let it go now and move on to more productive gaming thoughts, 'K?

Yes, please, enough about me. Just for the record, I have never said anything ill about John Adams. I love hobbits, I love a man of God (my late dad was one), and I really love Delving Deeper.

Okay, I am still shipping 2011 pre-orders, but I have emailed everyone who ordered one through April 2011. If you ordered a Delving Deeper Boxed set between December 2010 - April 2011 and have not received an email from me confirming your order and you address, please email me at john@bravehalfling.com.

Yeah, I thought that made a good deal of sense. I remember suggesting the same thing (or similar) to Rob Kuntz several years back when he was having all that trouble getting his stuff sent out: Focus on creating, and then just drop all your physical stock off at Noble Knight — they’ll gladly and efficiently handle the shipping side. It’s a win for everybody. And FWIW, I got my email today.

Same here! Looks good!
I have one question, though: I was reading the Blackmarsh supplement and was wondering if there was supposed to be a map in the booklet? Or is that downloadable?

I have one question, though: I was reading the Blackmarsh supplement and was wondering if there was supposed to be a map in the booklet? Or is that downloadable? The Blackmarsh pdf we all got sent has a hex map...in fact, without it, Blackmarsh wouldn't be much good. I'm not sure if we were supposed to get a print copy with the booklet, though, but it would make sense seeing as they go hand in hand.

Same here! Looks good! I have one question, though: I was reading the Blackmarsh supplement and was wondering if there was supposed to be a map in the booklet? Or is that downloadable? I still have my Blackmarsh map PDFs at home(there is 3 or 4). If you can't get a hold of them by tonight, I'll send you the files.

That's my fault. The Blackmarsh map is full-sized and I put it on cardstock to ship with the second batch (because the Holmes edit of DD is also full-sized (8.5 x 11). So many folks were upset the last time I folded or rolled up a map, I wanted to keep it whole, but I did not think about the map shipping separate from the booklet! It is a free pdf product here: www.rpgnow.com/product/89944/Blackmarsh?term=blackmarsh

I was hoping it was going to be a separate map, but thought I'd heard something about a separate download of the area map. The city map is in the booklet, though, so that's taken care of... EDIT: I'm grabbing the DriveThru RPG PDF now, but come to find out, there was an individual download of just the map I downloaded a while back and forgot about. Looking forward to the cardstock map, though!

Mine did not arrive today. The tracking says its still in Des Moins. I give them one more day then I call them up and demand satisfaction, possibly with a gauntlet.

Iowa is not on the way to California! Thats my feeling as well. Should be here tomorrow though, left the sorting facility in Bell Gardens just this afternoon. And with my work schedule leaving afternoons free in a week I might even get in some G+ Delving Deeper once I get the set.
