...will start being emailed to all Delving Deeper Boxed Set Pre-orders on Monday. No, the pdfs will not be available to anyone else until after all the boxed sets ship - which is getting close enough I can taste it!

I'm on the other side of the planet so for me, Monday is even futher away. In fact, it's so far away that down here we call it Tuesday.

I was thinking of the PDF delivery Fin. I dread to think how long the boxed set will take...

Simon is updating the tables, so it may be another day or so before the first illustrated booklet pdf gets emailed (he lives in tomorrow, after all).
It usually only takes ten days to get to Australia. Canada is the one that it seems to take forever to get to - because of customs or something I am told.

Hey John, So once that table is done you send out the pdfs, then print the booklets? Just trying to figure out how aggressively I need to work at being patient Also, any word on Dagger?

idrahil: Yes, that is the plan. I hope to have all Delving Deeper Boxed Sets shipped by November 15 at the latest. As I send out the illustrated pdfs, I will be printing, binding and trimming them and packing them into Delving Deeper Boxes. As for Dagger, Mark Allen is still creating the art for it, but he has two of the six panels completed. I am going to do an Indiegogo crowd sourcing campaign in November (after all the Delving Deeper Boxed Sets ship out) to let folks who were not part of my Appendix N Adventures Kickstarter pre-order a copy of their own. If all goes well, Dagger should ship to folks in early March. I am pretty excited about it myself. I have a sample of two of Daggers panels on the BHP website: www.bravehalfling.com/page17.html

Nice! I'll say, without reservation, that Mark Allen is a brilliant artist with a real knack for depicting FRPG items/scenarios.

^Agreed. My two fave rpg covers of all time (yes, really) are Mullen's cover to S&W core rules and Mark Allen's cover for BHP's printing(s) of S&W: WhiteBox (superseding my previously unchallenged love for Otus's covers for B/X). Looking forward to the Delving Deeper general release in 2015!

Just got the first illustrated file. These ones won't have the cover on the first page?

Cover? Oh yeah. I am laying them out to be printed, so the cover is a separate file. I had not thought of that. I will get the cover added to these.

Just got the monster booklet. I love the Gelatinous Cube illustration. That is one of my favorites, too ... though I must say that Mark's art is some of the finest work I've seen, really setting the mood for what we were trying to convey.

The art is brilliant. The layout is interesting, but I don't have any problems with it

I didn't do the layout, but I'm always open to feedback on our products.
"Interesting" sounds guardedly neutral ... would you care to elaborate? I'm genuinely interested in your views.

Just DLed my booklet and I loooooove the art! My one exception is the orcs but only because I play my orcs a bit more like Tolkien orcs and they appear (in my campaign ) as extremely corrupted looking elves.

"Interesting" sounds guardedly neutral ... would you care to elaborate? I'm genuinely interested in your views. Of course. I'm used to the picture + description formula that's been widely used since the first Monster Manual. Therefore the current layout is a bit alien for me. That's all. The only thing that really bothers me is why are you using plural forms under the pictures, if there are only single creatures on them. By the way, I really like the Gothrog illustration. Especially the fact, that he has no wings. Take that, winged Balrog camp! ;D

I love the art, but having seen the finished product I think I prefer the original, art free three volume version. I like the old one's OD&D style font, the generally crisp and smooth layout flow and the simplicity of having three booklets at the table. I understand the reason for the change and sympathize, and i don't really mind, since I probably wouldn't actually use the box set at the table anyways but rather printed pdfs. I'm just happy that we have a choice between the two styles so that everyone is happy.

Love the classic Pig Faced Ork and the Scaly dog man Kobold! If only the Gnoll had been a half-troll gnome..... Any idea when the boxed sets will be moving out?

If John hasn't posted anything by tomorrow, I'll give him a call.
Sorry I don't have any more information for you but that end of the business is entirely in John's hands.

He's only sent out two of the illustrated PDFs. I'm guessing it will be a little while still.
