I was able to go completely through the shopping and checkout process about an hour ago. Everything was moving pretty swiftly until checkout: there was some serious lag time there though it did eventually load and allow me to complete my purchase.

Just got B1 (it's free, as has been said laready) And to add my own little review, have just scanned through it, and the quality of the pdf is pretty nice.
Hoping for OD&D books!

Hello, ArcherSix. Welcome.
It's my understanding the entire back catalogue will be available in a stepped release. Given the crash of One Bookshelf's servers today, one can see the wisdom in such a move.
I'm impressed with the quality of the scans I've been in the products I've downloaded today. I, too, look forward to original boxed set (re)release on PDF.

I got B1, too. Had to... everyone talks about it, and I'd never seen it (my Holmes came with geomorphs, not a module.)
I'll probably buy a few other iconic modules I never had a chance to get. I'm glad the site turned out to be a real thing and not just some mock-up that was part of a pitch to WotC.

The product histories deserve some praise too. I found them interesting.

Anyone know if items you bought back when they were released will be available again for download or do we have to rebuy everything?

They have not yet offered anything I purchased before. I have heard from others, however, who state titles they purchased before the ban can be downloaded without additional payment now.

I'll be very interested to see what effect this has on the retroclones. I don't believe this will impact the clones drastically this time either. [...] Part of the attraction is having the old rules in a much clearer and useable presentation. Well, it's certainly not going to affect my plans for BLUEHOLME - although getting some of these PDFs might have an impact on my writing schedule!

I can confirm that the temple of elemental evil module that I purchased ages ago was updated and they sent me an e-mail that it was updated and ready to download.

I'm hoping for some of the even older and harder to find TSR releases from the 70's.... Tractics, Don't Give Up The Ship, et al.

This is a screenshot of the Caves Of Chaos map from the new scan of The Keep On The Borderlands that I got from dndclassics. Can you see what's missing? Attachments:

They are updating all the PDFs I downloaded one by one. Perhaps a correction is in the near future?

This is a screenshot of the Caves Of Chaos map from the new scan of The Keep On The Borderlands that I got from dndclassics. Can you see what's missing? Yes, that's bad. It's missing about 20' in the middle, including the entrances to Caves C and F and rooms 41 and 20. It's funny because the scan of the same map in in the first D&D Next Playtest packet was perfectly fine (though probably lower resolution than this one).

@cameron: I’m sorry to say it, Cameron, but this is the updated scan. @zenopus: Good eye, but you missed area “g” of room 21 I’ve notified dndclassics about the problem, but I don’t know if they’ll bother to do anything about it. I’ve done a little digging into the PDF file, and it looks like the cover was put together pretty carelessly. I think it was just scanned and thrown into the PDF without any cleanup. You’ll notice that the left side of the cover is slightly cropped. That’s because it was a little crooked on the platen during the scan. Instead of making it straight, they’re relying on the customer’s PDF reader to crop the edges when it renders. Here’s the full cover image extracted from the PDF. The cover previews of C2, T1, G1-2-3, and the Basic rulebook on the dndclassics website seem to show examples of the same problem. Attachments:

The map of The Caves they used is in pretty bad shape, I’m surprised to hear that it’s the same copy they used to make the map for the D&D Next playtest. I know they could easily have gotten a better copy if they tried. Again, it looks like a raw scan without any cleanup. Normally the edges of the map are cropped, so you won’t see the writing in the margin when you view the PDF, but here’s the upper left corner of the extracted map. Notice the hair on the platen in the lower left corner. Could it belong to Chris? Attachments:

I hope that I’m not the only one who’s bothered by this, because it probably won’t get fixed unless people start complaining. So far there’s been nothing but five star reviews for this new scan on the dndclassics website, and I don’t want Hasbro to think that their “old-school” customers will be satisfied with inferior products. Everyone on this board deserves better than that.
So how are the other scans? Has anyone else come across any problems? I know that B1-In Search Of The Unknown came out great. I extracted the images from that module too, and compared to B2, it was obviously put together with much more care and professionalism. I’d gladly buy any of the new scans that meet the same level of quality, but don’t want to waste my money on junk.

In the week since I bought B1, T1, and C1 they have each been updated. (I'm not sure what they've changed though.) So it seems like they are working on the PDFs.

Warriors of Mars cannot be sold as it included copyrighted information. I believe TSR yankded it after a year or two of sales. The PDF can be found online somewhere for free. It apparently is now public domain according to the site I got it from. Don't ask me for the link in case I am wrong but the site IS reputable.
