Hi everyone, My name is Ian Baggley. I am the illustrator for Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea. I hope you are all well. Just wanted to let people know that my work can be viewed here ~ ianbaggley.deviantart.com/gallery/Just click on the folder to the left to see the fantasy work. I am very interested in doing some more coloured pieces so please give me a shout if you'd like to commission something or need a piece for your project. I am sure we can work something out for a reasonable price. Any question please ask away. I can be contacted at ian.baggley@sympatico.ca Thanks! Ian

Hey there, Ian, and welcome! Looks like I get to be the first to say your work is awesome! I only wish I was publishing something, so I could employ you further...

Ian is a class act and a consummate professional. I highly recommend him. His work speaks for itself, and his willingness to be a team player and adjust on the fly does not go unrecognized, but of course I am biased.

Wonderful work. It reminds me of Andrew Wyeth.
The portraits in particular are good, very vibrant and alive. I didn't look at the fantasy pieces because I want that to be part of the experience of reading the ASSH books the first time...

Ian! Welcome aboard, my friend. ;D Ian's work is awesome. I commissioned the skeleton and hydra pieces in AS&SH and he was super easy to work with - I would recommend him to anyone. Can't wait to hang out at Gary Con, man.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am pretty much a portrait artist who stumbled into fantasy art. It's all Jeff's fault.
Rob, I willl send you a PM.
Thanks again.

In my opinion, this product has the best art of any D&D product (official or clone). Only the Cthulhu Mythos section of the original DDG even comes close. Great job!

Yeah, like I told you before, Ian -- I always loved those D&D mini-comics / advertisements that were in the pages of Marvel Comics. I think I liked those better than the official D&D comics that came out in the late 80's, early 90's.

This is a great piece. It's no bubblegum pose. It tells a story. The look on the face of the warrior-woman staring into the fire tells it all.

I don't think the last gig was very successful or they rolled badly on the debauchery table... Morgan My guess is somebody accidentally dropped a chest of jewels into the Green Abyss. Or the sixth party member brushed the wrong bas-relief and got turned into a puddle of slime.

Best of luck, baggs! I've heard before that there are three crucial components to success in the various art forms (music, art, writing, etc.), and they are talent, hard work, and luck. You've got the first two in spades.
