Man, I love me some Lovecraftian worms... I wrote recently about how I like (non-draconic) purple worms, dholes, and other mostly mindless worm creatures as a significant campaign menace because it lends a little hint of futility to a setting.

Man, I love me some Lovecraftian worms... You nailed that one Talysman. Of course I always hated the purple worm ever since Robilar almost got cornered and eaten by one in Castle Greyhawk. This little bugger is ferocious looking and soooo Lovecraftian, he could be a poster-monster for same. Rob
