I heard from Luke Gygax. It's official. I have changed my games from Castle El Raja Key (low level) to Lost City of the Elders (level 12-14).
It's going to K.A.! I always have a blast running adventures at GC, but I'm hyped for these as I have recently been expanding specific matter related to LCOTE. I'm scheduled to run it 3 days and I will also be giving a seminar at the bar area (on mixology, no doubt--j/k).
See you there!

Sounds good Rob. It's one of the Locations I've been curious about for years. So are the Elkhin Copper Mines or the forsaken Temple of Reh-Pog, on the low level side of things.

Sounds good Rob. It's one of the Locations I've been curious about for years. So are the Elkhin Copper Mines or the forsaken Temple of Reh-Pog, on the low level side of things. Not really, more like 3-10 for the temple and 2-12 for the mines, giving both as a range which the PCs could eventually top out at. Also: The Sunken City of Kalibruhn was variable by location within it, and I had no set range for that as the denizens and wanderers changed so often. Level 8 would be okay, but no guarantee. The city was not a linear scale area; it was a danger zone and very unpredictable, just like a real city can be. Hope to see you playing in LCOTE, Scotty. You are coming to the con, yes? RJK

I'm hoping to make it. Gary Welsh and I talked about making the trip this year. I need to get approval from my boss at work, and my boss at home.

Here's hoping you can make it. The last time we met it was over playing Dark Druids. Speaking of 'last times' what ever happened to cantankerous old Gene W. ?

Yeah, it would be great gaming with a few of the folks I've been 'talking' gaming with for so long.

Yeah, let the old gal know that you're human too and need a stroll outside the Gulag.

Speaking of 'last times' what ever happened to cantankerous old Gene W. ? He pretty much abandoned the forums in mid/late 2011, though he does have a small one of his own where he posts very, very occasionally. www.classicfantasygaming.proboards.com/index.cgi?

From Luke Gygax about my schedule for Garycon:
"Thursday 2-8 Lost City of the Elders" Friday 2-4: "Seminar, Rob Kuntz, 'Play, Design and Form: Inspirations from the Play-test of D&D 1972-1974."" Friday: 6-12 "Lost City of the Elders" Saturday 12-6 "Lost City of the Elders.""
LCOTE is for levels 12-14, 8 max players, no pregens.
Sunday: Open for questions and maybe some extended open DMing in LCOTE or 2nd version Castle El Raja Key.
Note: I requested that the adventures be lengthened from 4 to 6 hours to allow more time in a very large environment.

I still don't know when my event is. As far as I'm concerned Luke can plug it into odd corners. My event, that is.

You almost had a "Haw-Haw-Haw" out of me... It took me a week to get that, just so you know. I believe that the schedule will be out soon enough, I believe they said around the New Year?
