I'm currently reading through Boot Hill third edition and am a tad confused about shooting & movement in a combat turn. The turn separates movement from shooting, having shooting occur early in the round and movement toward the end of the round. Does this mean you must always shoot first and move afterwards if you are wanting to move and shoot on the same turn? I'm a bit confused.
Thanks in advance!

Shoot first, then move. If you get shot, it affects your move in that same turn(and your shooting modifier if you haven't shot yet). I have not had a problem with this yet. I understand wanting to move first, but as long as both sides are equal, there's no advantages. You just can't outrun a bullet.
