Any one see a table for Monster ToHits? Perhaps I did not read closely enough but I don't see it....
I do see from one example that the 3+2 HD Dragon needs a 14 to hit AC 5 which about +1 per die... Is that progression of the chart. (That's monster are better then fighters since a 3rd level fighter would be +2 based on 20 - AC if you follow me)

oh, I just noticed the "Monsters and Fighters roll 1 die FOR EACH of their own hit dice against enemies with no more then 1+1 hit dice"... Yikes so monsters also have the multiple attacks against weak foes.. In the demo game that means if there is an Ogre guarding the kobold lair the party can get squashed quickly.

If I remember right from OD&D if the group has a 1+1 HD creature then that negates the multiple attacks. Does this apply to delving deeper? I don't have the books yet so just curious.

The Fighters should be fine I'm not sure about the rest of the party...the description under fighter does not indicate that the multiple attacks are nullified...

The Fighters should be fine I'm not sure about the rest of the party...the description under fighter does not indicate that the multiple attacks are nullified... The second paragraph of the fighter description starts out by saying... So yes, fighters are "immune" to multiple attacks... and yes, 1st level magic-users should steer well clear of ogres
