James,
If you're talking about "Revenant Runes",
1) Yes, it's still going forward,
2) We found a local printer,
3) Some local folks have submitted some good stuff,
4) We need more, and
5) It's not moving very fast because Rengate and I both have demanding day jobs. But it's still very much ongoing. We'd love to have submissions, etc. from you (and anyone else reading this for that matter).

Well, I'd love to help out if I can. What exactly do you need? Where do things stand with it specifically? I'd hate to waste my time re-inventing the wheel, so to speak.

As somebody who has done a bit of this kind of thing for Tekumel, I think (a) it's a GREAT idea, and (b) it's a LOT MORE WORK than people first realize. So long as you keep that in mind, it can be fun to do.

Monsters, spells, and magic items are the bread and butter of this project. If you really want to go nuts cool mini-adventures are especially welcome. We have some rules variants already, we'll take more good ones, but there tends to be too much of that sort of thing in gaming-land today, we want playable content if you know what I mean.
Send them to calithena at juno dot com. We claim rights to publish and republish your work in reprintings of our supplement, you keep all other rights in perpetuity. So far we're not paying anyone, that might change in the case of art or a whole ton of high-quality content, but it won't be much in any case.
Anyway, thanks for your interest. (And thanks also for the plug, BadgerV. It helps that we're planning on old-school production values!)

FWIW, I always thought that White Dwarf had the best production values of the old gaming magazines. I don't mean the current Games Workshop monstrosity, I mean the quirky magazine that had good material for all the games out there. In other words, White Dwarf before #82 or so.
I have fond memories of Roger Musson's columns on the Monstermark system (hey, that deserves a thread all of it's own - Challenge Ratings that made sense!), some of the interesting character classes (the Merchant or the Houri come to mind). And in all of it, they managed to make black-and-white graphics look really GOOD.
Okay, lemme take off my rose-tinted nostalgia specs here.....

Monsters, spells, and magic items are the bread and butter of this project. Hmm. I suppose I'll need to re-read earlier posts in this thread to get a better sense of what the purpose of the project is. I was under the impression that the goal was to produce an OGL rule set that re-produces in its essential OD&D so that we and others could use it to keep the game alive and aid in its propagation rather than to add to those rules or otherwise expand them.

Oh, WSmith's OGL OD&D project is not the same thing, you can talk to him about that. I've thought of doing that from time to time but every time I start I wind up writing another one of my durned homebrews, so I'm the wrong guy for that job.

Does this individual lurk on these boards or can I find him elsewhere? My dream would be to see an OGL-derived OD&D-compatible game produced in the digest format for sale, followed by supplements that both recapitulate the best of OD&D's supplements and go off in other directions too -- basically, a line of "tool kits" and support products for building your own old school gaming experience.

Yes, WSmith is a contributor here on this forum. And I would love to see what happens with this. I'd also like to contribute, but time isn't my best friend right now.
