It's looking beatyful! I know It will be long until my box gets here since I was one of the last ones to get into the crowdfouding for them, but I hope I can start getting into this fantastic world with the PDFs as soon as I get the codes (it is this week that they will be sent, right?).

Thank you for the kind words, mythos. This may seem rather simpleminded, but from the outset, I wanted something that I would like and that my gaming buddies would like. By extension (hopefully!), other folks might like it as well. Jeff, there is nothing simple minded in wanting to produce a game that falls into that description. The history of rpgs is filled with failed companies that either forgot, or never had, this thought. Because you had it, you created a game that grabbed me from the first moment I read about it. The fact you reached, and exceeded, your goal proves that there are others who share your interest. So again, I thank you for making this game and I cannot wait to have it in my hands.

By the way, nice avatar. I use that image as my gmail avatar. Thanks Chainsaw. After Howard, Wagner is my favorite S&S writer. And only Frazetta has ever, imo, been able to properly capture Kane in art.

I've read all the Kane books a few times and love the stories and the Frazetta art that accompanies them. Not coincidentally, we're also both AS&SH fans. I bet you could run a mean Kane campaign with AS&SH.

I have to be honest. I've thought about what modifications and other setting I can 'port the system over to. I'm not sure if a good Kane game can be made from it. But I am thinking of a Sword and Planet games based on it.

Wow, it certainly looks impressive, not that I had any doubts. Seems it has been well worth the wait! I'll be waiting a bit longer and look forward to seeing it go on sale soon. Thanks! It shouldn't be too much longer before it is available for general sale. I will update here, other forums, and the facebook page when it goes live!

Kent, I'll be placing the game for sale on our site in about a week or so. Thanks for your interest! But to be clear -- you said "setting". The game is a combination of rules and setting, just so you know. I thought it would be fun to watch you point that out. So, the complimentary reviewer copies are being sent after the kickstarter copies have all shipped, ok. What magazines are reviewing games these days? I know Knights of the Dinner Table is. Then there is the internet. Blogs and such. I probably would have sent a copy to James Mal for his consideration, but he was kind enough to actually purchase a copy. RPG Pundit's reviews seem to be popular, too.

Fellows, please be patient as I continue to print, bind, collate, and ship. This is going to be done in piecemeal over the next month, and I will be sending out multiple batches of games per week. When your package has mailed, you will know, because I will email you. Thank you! And please accept my apologies that the process is not faster. This really is a home-grown operation. Great pics, chainsaw -- I'm glad everything arrived safe and sound. Thanks for the great post! Just remember the old system, last to order, first to receive, or a reverse alphabetical system for shipping. Ha! Nice try ZZZZZZZZavoda!

kesher -- Wow, thank you so much, Aaron. I don't know if that is true, but I do appreciate the sentiment! @diogo -- PDF codes are very close to being sent out! Your enthusiasm for the project really inspires me! Thank you so much. mythos -- I know what you. If you are not creating a game that you, your friends, and your family might enjoy, and if you are simply attempting to codify something to satisfy a specific buyer demographic, than the work is not honest, and ultimately it might not succeed. Chainsaw + mythos -- Huge Kane fan here as well, and in fact I've been re-reading them again off and on the past few months. I also picked up the Dark Horse compilation called _Saga of Solomon Kane_ which adapts all the Kane stories that were essentially back-up features in _Savage Sword of Conan_.

Yeah both of those give out good reviews for free stuff. The poster above me, James Smith, does (or used to do) product reviews. He recently moved his blog to a new site and changed the name, but he had a pretty good readership, I believe. He certainly gave OSRIC a kind and favorable review. (thanks again, James!) Relatedly, I received my copies of the boxed set yesterday. Outstanding work, Jeff! Love the look and flavor of the game so far! And you were right about Ian's style mirroring the aesthetic you were going for - it's a great match-up. 5 stars out of 5!

I will certainly do a review in my blog too, but my readers are pretty much all brazilians (I get around 9000 clicks per month). I was thinking about making a handstiched hardbond version of the manuals as soon as I can and post some pictures also.

I received the notification from RPGNow that the pdf was ready for download. All the files work fine except the map with is 0 kb and so of course can't open (there's nothing to open). I tried downloading the map separately but with the same result. Something must've gone wrong when the files where uploaded to the site. Other than that the pdf's have whetted my appetite for the printed product. Very much looking forward to receiving notification that it has been posted.

Thanks, fellows! You are far too kind. verhaden -- I know. As Ian's art began to arrive some three+ years ago, I started to wonder whether the quality of my writing could even remotely keep up with the quality of his art. I was amazed. I'm very lucky that one day, while I was woking on Castle Zagyg, this fellow from Canada sent me his illustration of a villain he was using in his CZ campaign. I was amazed by the picture, and when the CZ deal disintegrated, I was quick to contact the fellow. I consider myself very fortunate to have worked with Ian, Andreas, and David on this project.

Absolutely! With the possible exception of Vornheim, I've not seen an independent project illustrated at this level of quality. And the sheer number of illustrations is staggering, too.
Awesome.

Aaron, I just read the review you posted -- very kind of you. I appreciate that you took the time out of your evening to put that together. Very flattering, and I'm thrilled that you enjoy the game. Thanks so much!
Cheers, Jeff T.

Jeff, this is a fantastic piece of work!! I had to work late and did not get a chance to download until 9pm. I've spent the last four hours reading through it and you have exceed all my expictations. The art is great, the setting is wonderful, and the whole thing just vibrates with excitement. I've already filled filled one new notebook with outlines for adventures and this weekend I;ll be calling some friend and setting up a group starting next month. Jeff, thank you for this game. You have done an outstanding job on this.

I am very thankful to have Ian's illustrations, Andreas' cartography, and David's red pen to reel in my non-sensical ramblings. Without those gentlemen, this game would be terrible. Then of course there is the Charles Lang painting that very much inspired the conception of this entire thing.

Jeff, how are you going to distribute the boxed set? If you're doing it on your own, I feel pretty sure I could help you get it into our local gigantic FRPGS, The Source Comics and Games. They're pretty great about supporting small-press games. PM if you're interested...

They're pretty great about supporting small-press games. PM if you're interested... The starting business model is to sell directly from the web site. Next will be to get it out directly to stores, and of course NKG. The Source seems like it would be a great outlet, too, so I add that to my list and make a note to contact you when the time comes, Aaron -- thanks. I appreciate that you are of a mind to look out for the little guy just starting out; it means a lot to me. Cheers, Jeff T.
