Will you have Gunnery expend another charge of the Radio Beam Cannon?

ROUND 3
Gunnery aims true (9, 7) for 4d4=11hp, reducing the radio cannon to 12 charges and the titanocobra to 41hp.
Shade charges into melee, allowing Andre's natural predatory instinct to take over. The gigantosaurus needs 5+ on 1d6 and rolls 2, 6, 6 for 2d12=13hp reducing the beast to 28hp as it tears away a mouthful of delicious snake-flesh.
Titanocobra strikes from the coiled position (3, 6, 2, 1, 1, 1) tagging Andre for 1d8=8hp. Shade's steed is reduced to 39hp and rolls a natural 1 on his save vs. poison. Andre is down and Shade, Alpha Deep, and their dolm passenger are thrown from the saddle!
Those who spent the round reloading their howdah guns now have 1 barrel loaded.

Can we fire safely with Andre nearby the snake?

Andre is sinking into the mud and the snake is rearing up for another strike at someone, so just aim high.

Also those of you who are reloading: please specify if you wish to fire from out of reach of the snake (medium range, howdah pistol 9+ on 2d6 to hit) or close to short range (6+ with pistol, plus dino natural attacks) and try to box the snake in?
Those of you who have attained 3rd level have the option to engage in Fantasy Combat. On foot you attack as Hero-1 on the FCT vs Giant (snake). If you are mounted and combine the attacks of dino and rider, then your ranking is Lycanthrope.
Foot (Hero-1): 12 to push back; 13 to "kill" Mounted (Lycanthrope: 10 to push back; 11 to "kill")
A "kill" is a cinematic effect such as: a charge attack or combo/flurry, inflicting damage based on your hit dice, a grapple/pin attack, rescuing an ally, neutralizing the foe's special attack for a round, etc. Initiative gets paused while the fantasy combat plays out as a mini-game.
The risk is that you expose yourself to an equally cinematic counterattack by the snake! Giants only need 6 to hit heroes and 5 to hit lycanthropes.

Breath and crew upon Junior fire their guns from medium range, aiming high so as not to further endanger their allies.
The Specialists upon Princess will likewise fire from medium range, unless Big Mama moves into melee, in which case she will follow suit.

Gunnery and Minion are NPCs for the moment, anyone can step up and give suggestions how to deploy the mama & papa dinosaur chess pieces. Try to think like an admiral and make fleet-wide tactical decisions. You are almost Heroes but your leadership ability will be key to surviving that long.

Sorry... forgot you were waiting on us! I guess I'll give it a try...
From the ground, Shade communicates, **Box it in and fire everything you have. Destroy the thing before it does any more harm!**

Good plan ehiker... are Shade and his Deep One participating in the missile volley, or running for their lives?

If they have a capable Howdah, then yes.
Hiding behind Andre's prone form before, during, and after the shot, that is...

ROUND 4
Gunnery aims with the radio beam cannon (12, 12!) and the snake sizzles for 4d12=16hp as the radio-waves agitate its molecules. (The cannon has 11 charges left.)
The party rallies in a semi-circle around the wounded snake, and everyone fires 1 barrel of their howdah pistols (9 to-hit at medium range):
Breath: 6, 5, 9 hits for 1d8=7hp Fated: 2, 9, 7 hits for 1d8=3hp Minion: 7, 7, 8 Shade: 5, 10, 6 hits for 1d6=3hp
Breath's 2 fighters: 6, 6 Breath's 2 specialists: 11, 8 Fated's 6 ulfire men: 7, 7, 7, 10, 4, 8 Gunnery's 3 orange men: 9, 7, 5 Minion's 4 bone men: 4, 9, 7, 10 Shade's Deep One: 8
5 henchmen connect with their shots for 5d10 = 18hp
The titanocobra takes a cumulative 47hp from missile fire and drops dead! The kill shot goes to [1d9] one of Fated's glorious Ulfire Men!

THE AFTERMATH
Buck, Lance, and Rod Quarry are in the belly of the snake! A dolm marsh-woman is in the belly of the snake! Little Brother is poisoned! Andre is poisoned! Junior is wounded to 4 of 7 HD!
The surviving dolm women lament their swallowed sister, but cheer you as heroes and shower you with hugs and kisses!

[speaking for kipper]
Breath's chirurgeon Dream Stalker attempts to diagnose the snake bites. [4-in-6 chance, 1d6=3]
"The venom has suppressed their nerve impulses and paralyzed their diaphragms. They may require assistance breathing if their condition deteriorates.
I know of two possible cures: first, an antivenin produced by introducing a non-lethal dose of venom into the bloodstream of a healthy animal; second, a poultice of ground turmeric root."

Festive replies, "The Crone will know what to do."
(The other dolm women answer in chorus, "Yes, the Croooooone.....")
Will you accompany the marsh-women to their village?
Will you allow Snarf to fill his belly with titanocobra meat?

Fated: "Yes, let's go to Crone Hollow."
He lets Snarf eat of the T-Cobra, but only toward the back of the corpse where the poison sacs are least likely to be.

First, is there any saving the men who were eaten by the snakes? Were they eaten whole and maybe still alive?
Shade nods in agreement and commands his Deep One to stay and guard over Andre while he accompanies the women to the old crone.
Shade makes a mental note, if we don't try to save the crew that was eaten just now, to cut... er, to have the Deep One cut the snakes bellies open and examine the stomach contents for anything of value.

Breath's first action would be to cut open the snakes and attempt to rescue the Quarry brothers.
"Can Andre survive that long? How far is it to the Crone?" Breath asks the Dolm Women after Dream Stalker has made her diagnosis. "We may have to try the non-lethal dose into the bloodstream of another dino, but it will be tricky to get the correct dose..."
Dream Stalker tries to estimate how long Andre and Little Brother have to live.

Breath splits the belly of the cobra with her Glaive. Each of the victims has a 50% system shock roll: Rod = heads = live, Lance = heads = live, Buck = heads = live, dolm woman = heads = live! All of them will bear horrible scars (physical and emotional) for the rest of their lives. Stomach contents of both snakes are searched: 750 sp, 60 gp, 2 black pearls, a metal aerosol can (it had a paper wrapper but it dissolved), and a pair of gauntlets. The slowest dinos could reach the bayside village of Crone Hollow by sundown if they leave now. The medium dinos could be there in 2-3 hours, and Snarf--traveling at a run and carrying Fated and Festive--could make it in an hour or less. The velociraptor fills his [1dd] 5 gizzards with titanocobra tail meat and rears up in excitement. Dream Stalker estimates the poison victims' odds of survival: save or die every 8 hours. (save vs poison = 8)

Serpent's Scion (Tinker) investigates the aerosol can, she gives it a tiny spray (aimed away from anybody).
Breath examines the gloves, she looks inside each one carefully before trying one on.
~~~ OOC:
Just for clarity, can I have a breakdown of which dinos could make it to the village in 3 hours or less?
We have: Big Mama - unbarded, large: speed=2-3hrs?? Big Daddy - unbarded, large: speed=2-3hrs?? Princess - unbarded, medium size: speed = 2-3hrs Junior - barded - presumably he would be a slow one if barded, but 2-3hrs if unbarded?
Obviously we know Snarf is the fastest, and Little Brother and Andre aren't going anywhere.
It's probably too dangerous to send Fated off alone on Snarf with Festive (unless he's up for it??).
So we need to send one party to the village, and one to guard the wounded. Hence I need to know who is able to make the trip in under 3 hrs.
The entire party can reach the village in under 3 hours if Junior dumps his barding (good idea).
SS does a test-spray from the can, and there is a puff of golden pigment, matching the color of the gauntlets.
Breath tries on the gauntlets and nothing happens, good or bad. Wearing them, she is very confident of her grip on her glaive (but not supernaturally so).
If we just need the meds, then I say send the velociraptor and two riders to get what we need. He should be able to out-distance most foes...
Shade picks up the two black pearls and secrets them away for safe keeping. He doesn't try to do this on the sly or anything; just matter-of-factly.
Snarf gallops through the marshland, hopping from hummock to hummock, and in (d%) 55 minutes Fated has reached The Flower of Sublime Wisdom, a village of (d%) 88 dolm women.
Festive dismounts just outside the village and continues the rest of the way on foot, motioning for Fated to stay out of sight. He hears the distant chatter of voices, followed by a long blast on a conch shell.
Soon, Festive returns to Shade, accompanied by a dozen dolm women of varying age. "The Crone approaches," she says (answered by a chorus of "The Crooooone!" from the villagers).
A grass hut wobbles into view, walking under its own power on stilt-like bamboo "legs." A rope ladder is lowered from a trap door in the bottom of the hut and the women motion for Fated to ascend... Please role-play Fated's supplications to the old dolm matriarch.
What is everyone else doing in the meantime?
Establish a camp around the wounded dinos, maintaining a watch on all sides. All ranged weapons are loaded and ready.
