In the Spring of 1877, three men arrived in the village of Saltmarsh in Washington Territory. Each of them had goals and aspirations of their own, but they would soon be thrown together by the strange events that surrounded that isolated town on the Pacific coast. On February 2, I started a new campaign online, tentatively named Northwest Pacific Fears, for Down Darker Trails. We're starting off using the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons scenario "The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh" as well as the D&D campaign "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" adapted to Call of Cthulhu in the American west. The roleplaying game of the game session is here: www.yog-sothoth.com/blogs/entry/3586-arrival-in-saltmarsh/Players are: Kyle Matheson as Owen Starr (politician) James Brown as William Hazard (dilettante) Yorie Latimer as Hugh Pierre Luckheart aka Jack (greenhorn)

The group continues reading the strange book thrust upon them in March of 1004 A.D. It relates the events of a group of Romans and others in 162 A.D. who went to an island far northwest of England they called Thule. This time, the Roman pass through a strange light. On February 6, I ran another online game of Cthulhu Dark ages, using Cthulhu Invictus to relate the scenario "Thulian Echoes" to the Dark Ages readers. The roleplaying journal of the game session is here: www.yog-sothoth.com/blogs/entry/3587-thulian-echoes-session-three/James Brown as Munatius Calogerus Magnus (gladiator) Aaron Frager as Vagionius Verecundus (magus) Yorie Latimer as Sertorius Titillus (legionnaire) James Brown as Drust (Pict fisherman) Sean McPike as Leb Shahar (Rabbi)

In March of 1004 A.D., the small group set forth from Murkwell with plans to exhume Brother Drake and possibly raise his body from the dead! They meet a priest in London who joins them on their trip to Wroxeter, but then run into trouble exhuming the body and must travel with a nun after that. As they reach Northampton on the Roman road on their way back, something follows them. On March 27, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time Cthulhu Dark Ages, with the original scenario "The Phantom of Gloaming Thicket."
