Is it just the priests & me active now? I think so. Sanjesh's player is active on the board, but doesn't seem to look here. Zharkan's hasn't been logging in regularly, last time was 20 April. I sent both of them private messages a couple of weeks ago encouraging them to post here, but no luck.

I believe there are 3 of 5 active. Gereshma hiShiggoth ( bert ) as a Priest Hrunal hiVimkolel ( epengar ) as a Sorcerer Kevuk hiKetalal ( calithena ) as a Warrior
Keeping a Play-by-Post active is hard. A couple of active people at a time is not bad. =

OK, well I'll hang out for the time being in the interest of keeping things moving, but if things pick up and we get more active posters I may have to take a vacation. I'll do the best I can...

I'm not sure that having Hrunal flail away with his puny dagger is going to be very effective. Maybe I could just try to grab the priest and knock him down? That would at least keep him from casting more spells. Is it possible to grapple with opponents who are not surprised? The only mention I could find in the rules only applied to surprised opponents.

I don't see why something couldn't be "winged". Attacker needs to "hit" (vs-leather) If successful, a grapple occurs Defender saves vs Paralize or breaks free. Defender can use a "To Hit" Strength bonus for the Save roll (if they have one). =

"... disembowels his foe expertly ..." Sorry to say ... This isn't Savage Tekumel. You will have the chip away at the defender's Hit Points. (Which is far more than 3.) =

I was lost. All I had to go on was the roll that I hit...um...I guess I missed the three damage part.
Well, uh, I cut him and keep fighting.

I am very sorry for dropping out as I have. I lost a very dear friend May 19th and my world really has not been the same ever since. I don't feel much like playing games for awhile. If someone else would like to take over Zharkan you have my blessing. Sorry for the inconvenience.

While a Qol is a interesting idea, they are not known for high moral. In fact it would be unbelievable for one to attack when out numbered. I will need to include a check for your opponents to know this.
Awaiting Kevuk's response to the massive blow he took. =

Darn, I didn't think the morale thing would be that widely known. I was just trying for something roughly human-sized that is easily recognized as venomous. I also considered a Sagun, but thought they might be a bit obscure.
One more question about the spell - can I change the illusion after I cast it? Could I, for instance, appear as a Qol now, and a few rounds later change it to look like a Chiteng priest? or a part of the architecture?

I don't suspect that great details are known about "mithical" creatures, I just wanted to remind you that it is a consideration.
As specificly "limited illusions" can be created, it cannot be changed once successful.
At least as it is not ritual based, you do have a choice of the illusion's form. =
