Read all about the new releases (including McKinney's Isle of the Unknown also being released) here. Or just go order here.

Congrats to Geoffrey for seeing Carcosa back in print, and Jim and LotFP for believing in this controversial masterpiece!

Yes, congratulations to you both for the release of both products. I've unfortunately already spent my Christmas money but will purchase physical copies in the new year - and am really looking forward to doing so.

I managed to find Isle of the Unknown at rpgnow, but I could find Carcosa - is it going to be available there?

I managed to find Isle of the Unknown at rpgnow, but I could find Carcosa - is it going to be available there? It's there. Make sure you have the Adult Filters at the proper setting. Also, the PDF is cheaper if you buy it from the LotFP store. About $17 at current conversion rates, as opposed to over $21 at RPGNOW.

In the process of slowly converting my PbP campaign from Carcosa 1.0 to 2.0 and consequently digging into the LotFP rules for the first time.
I see that LotFP uses the "BECM" ability modifiers, granting up to +3 hit points/die for 18 Con, whereas Carcosa uses the Oe stingier bonus of +1 hit point/die for 15+ Con. I'm curious whether this is intentional, or the paragraph is just an artifact from the first Carcosa printing?
I'm also eager to hear any other tips/suggestions for converting an in-progress Carcosa campaign to the new rules. I definitely plan to incorporate the LotFP equipment lists, encumbrance system, and probably the Specialist class. Any other recommendations?

Jim and Geoffrey, those are Simply. Awesome.
I'll definitely be buying Carcosa, at least...

I caved in and bought the physical copy. If the pdf is anything to go by the physical book is going to be a thing of beauty.

The re-published Carcosa isn't really meant to specifically be a supplement for the LotFP RPG (though of course it can certainly be used as such). I think the only things we changed in Carcosa to better fit LotFP RPG are the armor class number (ascending from 12 instead of descending from 9) and the names of the saving throw categories (which required the merest tweaking).

If I understand correctly then I have your blessing to continue my Carcosa 1.0 campaign basically unchanged... thank you.

Wow, that is an amazing use of color. I don't pretend to know a lot about art, but I tend to think that so much color might in many instances drown out the focal point that the eyes are intended to be grabbed by, but in this case, IMO, it works beautifully.

There's a lot of subtle detail and transition in color to get lost in. I've set it as my desktop wallpaper. ;D

I just read over on the blog that Carcosa almost beat the original edition's total sales on the first day. That is amazing, congrats! I bet a lot of those customers (like me) also bought the 1st printing so kudos on the repeat business. Speaking for myself I am glad I have the original PDF too, because it makes for a more convenient reference at-the-table. The new PDF I got yesterday is beautiful but it is very slow to search/scroll on my crappy low-end EEE PC. The older PDF is text-only so there is less lag time quickly scrolling through pages. On a positive note, the clickable links are really helpful. If anyone hasn't seen the PDF yet and doesn't know what I'm talking about: each ritual has a link to the monster it summons, the monsters have links to the rituals that affect them, the hex numbers are linked between the map and the description, a link to monsters that lair there, etc. It is a very easy PDF to navigate.

Bought both print + PDF + extra maps. My only minor gripe is I wish Carcosa would have expressed AC like Isle does (leather+shield vs. AC15). That aside, these are really great! I really hope you plan to do more stuff, Geoffrey. Isle will be going into my crashed starship megadungeon as its own dungeon level, while Carcosa will be used as a general reference. Jim has done a great job releasing grindhouse/vornheim near my birthday, and these near Christmas, so I could justify buying them plus all the extras. Jim has really raised the bar for small OSR publishing.

Carcosa arrived today, via the slow-boat from Finland. ;D Physically, it's bloody impressive! An absolutely beautiful book! If you can swing it, trust me. Don't settle for the pdf. You want a Print copy.

I just got my copy yesterday, with the mat and the poster. It's a total classic and very inspiring. I was also reminded, a bit, of some of Dave Hargrave's "Shadowlands" ideas too.
