I put together something that I thougth I'd share. I used M&T only (no Greayhawk) and blended all of the treasure tables into one master table so that you don't have those pesky sub-tables. All you need is a d1000. ;D The percents were done on a spreadsheet so they are mostly the same with a few rounding oddities, but I had to tweak numbers a little on the Misc. Magic portion since there are so many items and so few changes to get them. At least the percents to get each major type of treasure has been maintained, even if the individual percents are a little off. Anyway, I doubt if it's an improvement but I did it and thought I'd share. I picked M&T only becasue I don't like having super-high plusses on my weapons. Maybe I'll do one with Greyhawk to see if I can get it to work. Attachments:

Very nice work. I rolled a Ring of protection +1, 5' radius. Thank you!

Awesome! Rolling treasure with single roll felt much more comfortable than rolling two times while jumping from page to page, even if its just small change.

I'll be rewriting these tables for my own upcoming OD&D game. Thanks, Fin. Nice work. EXALT!

Thanks from me as well, Fin, and an EXALT from me also. Seems like you have nothing to do but dream up cool things.

I'll be rewriting these tables for my own upcoming OD&D game. What sort of rewrite do you have in mind? Just adding a select number of items from the supplements, and making the pages portrait orientation rather than landscape (reads better in my binder).

Impressive. This falls under the heading of something I wish I'd thought of myself. Nice work, Marvin.

I can whip up a portrait version. In fact, here's a Word doc so you can tinker with it directly instead of having to undo my PDF. Attachments:

Hmmm... Scroll of Protection from Undead. But I'm a Fighting-Man dammit! Too cool, Marv! Exalt!

Remember, all protection scrolls can be used by anyone! (As long as they can read, anyway.)

Remember, all protection scrolls can be used by anyone! (As long as they can read, anyway.) Can they? I seem to have forgotten that, which is why I have noted Cleric or MU next to them. Do you recall where that rule can be found? Does the rule change in Greyhawk where thieves have the ability to read from scrolls?

It's in Vol. 2, page 32, the second sentence of the Scrolls section:
"All 'Protection' spells can be used by any character who is able to read."
I don't know if, or how, this changes in Greyhawk.
Edit: I checked the section on Thieves and reading scrolls in Supp I, and nothing is mentioned regarding it. I take that to mean that the ability is unchanged.

Makes sense. I should revise my tables, then. Combine the MU and Cleric "Protection" scroll lines, add together the numbers, re-label then as "all"

Did you originally do this in Excel, or jigger the numbers by hand in Word?
