Would anybody actually be interested in a PBP or video chat game of MA? I've had the 1st edition sitting around for a while and wouldn't mind dusting it off, provided folks could play around what looks to be a hectic coming school schedule.

a hectic coming school schedule. As a teacher I'm about ready to hit the wall, time wise, but I'll be happy to set up space for a game like this if there is a referee and enough players interested. I'd love to do it, but the timing is bad for me. Maybe later I'll be able to jump in and/or start one.

I'd be more than happy to run it if folks would be fine with it being two posts a week, and a slightly dusty GM.

Works for me! With two kids, and both of working time is definately at a premium!

Actually what I had here is basically the intro to MA, so not really needed . i've just been re-reading it.

@finarvyn Well MA lends itself well to drop in and drop out players so that shouldn't be a big deal.

I'd be interested. I just committed to another pbp game, which has to take priority, being a prior commitment. However, I should have ample time for a two post per week schedule.

Four folks sounds like a good start. Finarvyn if you want to host it here that'd be great, or I could pester at one of the other boards. We could plod through Character Generation this week while I have time, then next week I should be able to do a major post Sunday and Thursdays as I have nice big gaps. Part of me just wants to do a strait up hex crawl, and part of me wants an actual goal, like hunting down the remote control so your tribe can watch the TV they found in a very well preserved home.

While we're waiting on a response How many of you have picked up the PDF of the rules at rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?products_id=50526&filters=0_0_0_0&manufacturers_id=2191 ? Its fairly cheap, but if someone can't swing it character creation is pretty easy to walk through. Since starting MA characters are both simple to create and destroy would folks prefer it if I just created a bunch and handed them out as your destroyed? would you prefer to create the characters yourselves? I don't know if it'll be a meat grinder, but MA does have a reputation to uphold.

I own a hardcopy of the rules.
I'm happy to run pregen characters for expediency's sake, or roll up some myself. Whatever works.

I have the 1E rules. Whatever you think works best is fine by me. I'd prefer to have a choice between playing human, mutated human or mutated plant. Beyond that, I don't mind.

I'm good with somebody creating my character, no preference. (That's part of the fun!) [edit to add...] oh, and I have PDF and hard-copy of the 1st ed rules!

Sure, I'll start a new thread for Character generation. Pop over there, I'm figuring on about eight players at most.
