Often I forget to post about these until it's too late for folks to schedule it - I hope this is enough advance notice! I do believe this will be held at the Brooklyn Strategist this year. Certainly it will be on Saturday October 1. I will be running Adventurer Conqueror King, Michael Curtis will be running Stonehell (or something else as he pleases), and I hope others will volunteer to run stuff as well!

Oh, I wish I lived in the NY area. I'd love to participate in one of those Arneson Memorial events.

Gronan, I would love to get you involved!
Fin & Havard, I'm planning to use a Kickstarter to fund the creation of some cool Gameday-related stuff that will help bring the event to those who can't be there in person, more details on this soon!

OK, I'm thinking that there will be three levels to the Kickstarter:
- based on the "celebrity GM" services that Dave used to donate to convention charity auctions, one donor reward will be getting to play in a private game session run by one of the GMs who's part of the event. These will be done on a different night (for locals) or via Google+ (for non-NYCers), since prior experience suggests it'll get too noisy on the gameday proper!
- a physical reward will be a copy of one of the print projects one of these GMs contributed to, signed by them and given at the event (for locals) or shipped to the donor (for non-locals)
- an electronic reward will be a PDF copy of same
So the question for now is: what GMs, designers, authors, etc. might be close to NYC and good candidates for the above? I have my own list, but want to be sure I'm not missing anyone!

Here is a list of folks who are confirmed:
Michael Curtis will be running games of Stonehell Dungeon Joseph Bloch will be running games of Adventures Dark & Deep, and will have a new version of the Bestiary Luke Crane will be running games of DNA/DOA using a hack of Burning Wheel Gold Darren Watts will be running games of Lucha Libre for the HERO System Along with other folks from New York Red Box and the NYC area, I will be running games of Adventurer Conqueror King Paul Hughes will be running 4E using his poster of the OD&D random monster charts Daniel Boggs can't make it, but will be writing a piece for the program book and sending a single-volume collection of Dragons at Dawn & its first sequel
All of the above will be contributing electronic and/or signed copies of the games etc. listed above for use in the Kickstarter rewards; donors also get the program book.
We'll also have a panel discussion about Arneson's legacy and how it's shaped modern culture; panelists will include journalists Ethan Gilsdorf (Wired, Salon) and David Ewalt (Forbes) .
I am hoping that Gronan will get involved, but in a PM he said that he was ironically most busy before the school year starts - with luck that will be before Oct. 1!

Sounds like fun, Tavis. Unfortunately, I will have missed the event by a week or so---I'll be in South Jersey for a family reunion and wedding the weekend of Sept 23rd.
