One of the cool Star Wars games I bought was called "Epic Duels." boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3284/star-wars-epic-duelsIt was an individual-scale combat game that used cards to modify situations. They had put together pairs of characters who would fight other pairs of characters. Each pair had a custom deck designed just for them. They mixed characters from both prequel and original movies (it was put out in 2002 so not all 6 movies are completely represented) and had miniatures for each character. A lot of fun, and my kids and I kept track of win-loss records of which characters beat other characters. (I thought that it was more cooperative to track charcter win-loss rather than player win-loss, since my kids were 10 and under at the time.)

I played this a few times. Decent enough game, but not as universal as I'd like. (You can't make your own pairs of heroes. They have to match the ones set up in the game or they don't have a card deck.)

I bought it on clearance for something like 3 dollars, then sold it when I realized it was selling for a LOT on eBay. As I recall there was also some type of expansion set made for it. I remember there being fan-made stuff for it online, too. Might still have some following...
