This system was a lot more sketchy, though I do not recall if Paul kept it simple, or we simply got used to not tracking it that much. There are two lists: one for weapons and items, and another for effects of the speed of the carrier. Sword | 6 | Rapier | 3 | Two Handed Sword | 15 | Axe | 5 | Battle-Axe | 12 | Pole-Arms | 5 | Mace | 10 | Hammer | 8 | Bow | 2 | Staff | 3 | Leather Armor | 5 | Chain-mail | 20 | Plate Armor | 40 | Sheild | 5 | Barding | 75 | Miscellaneous | 15, 30 | Twenty coins | 1 | Thirty gems | 1 | Five Jewelry | 1 | | | Man | 160 | Woman | 120 | Dwarf | 140 | Hobbit | 80 | Elf | 140 | | |
The weights now seem somewhat off, given more personal knowledge about weapons and their weights and use. I recall some debates about the system taking into account awkwardness as well as just weight. Here is the section on carriers, speed modifiers, and weights carried. Carrier | MPH | Weight | Carrier | MPH | Weight | Carrier | MPH | Weight | Man | -- | 75 | Light Horse | -- | 200 | Medium Horse | -- | 250 | | -1 | 100 | | -1 | 250 | | -1 | 300 | | -2 | 125 | | -3 | 300 | | -2 | 350 | | -4 | 150 | | -5 | 350 | | -3 | 400 | | -7 | 175 | | -11 | 200 |
Followed by: Carrier | MPH | Weight | Carrier | MPH | Weight | Carrier | MPH | Weight | Heavy Horse | -- | 300 | Draft Horse | -2 | 300 | Mule | -- | 150 | | -1 | 350 | | -4 | 400 | | -1 | 200 | | -3 | 400 | | -6 | 500 | | -2 | 250 | | -5 | 450 | | | | | -3 | 300 | | -7 | 500 | | | | | -4 | 350 |
And then sack capacity was listed: Small sack: 10 lb. Large sack: 40 lb. Back pack: 60 lb.

I'm glad you liked them. On the basis of this on-going discussion, I tracked down Paul, and talked with him recently about his old high school gaming material. Turns out his mother dug up a bunch of it awhile ago, and passed it back to him. He went through it, decided it was old, and since he didn't game anymore, he got rid of it. I'm a bit gobsmacked right now.
