FENNICK stays towards the front of the party to provide just enough light for Kib and Liam to see, while concealing the rest of the lantern light with his shield. While waiting, he checks the surrounding walls for any hidden panels, writing, symbols, etc.
Can you clarify this? It is not accurate? Or you don't want us to make a map?
The map as drawn is not what you have seen. I would also ask if you are making a map WHO is making the map as they are most likely going to be surprised at every encounter...I don't use cardinal points or measurements usually unless there is an actual mapper.
That is all that I meant, and I sent a pm to that effect to the original poster.
[OOC Kib has no reason to hide anything from the party, therefore assume anything he sees, you see.]
OOC: Gotcha. I was just always taught to never assume.
OOC: I am glad you asked. My play style depends on the character. Kib is not a complicated Dwarf. If the DM says "Kib notices the passage slopes slightly downward" you can assume he shares information this with the party.
Mushnome (formerly mfort, before that formerly mushgnome, occasionally dwarvesofdunwich)
I kind of need to keep things vague BUT what that means is that if there is an error then I tend to blame myself.
To reconcile the descriptions better the directions were given from the viewpoint of the stairs in the first description the latter description was once you were all in the room with your backs to the woodpile and facing the stairs. So the doorway to the right indeed would have been behind the stairs. I hope that does help...
Now I need to weed through a few more posts...thanks everyone for your extended patience!
Kib listens carefully at the door and hears nothing, though he does notice scratches in the door...stepping back and his eyes taking the scratches in he realizes they are the Goblin marks for "stay out" and "danger, bad".
