I'd like to see what monsters and traps would populate this tower How does one go about volunteering? I'd love to write something up for these towers...

Well, if it's cool with Vito if we publish those awesome pictures in the magazine, then basically you can just write something for it! Post it here or email it to me (calithena) at that google mail client thingie dot com.

Very nice. Reading back through the posts, it looks like you just say "I'm doing it", so I'm doing it with Vito's towers, unless there is some objection. I will send something in for #12. Vito I will send a message tonight with my thoughts to make sure my interpretation is OK by you, since it's your pretty picture.

Cool. Just so you guys know, the way it works is that you both retain ownership and all rights to what goes in the magazine, all we ask for is the right to keep your original submissions in print in the original publication (sometimes bound together with others in a special offer collection). If we want to do anything else with it we have to ask your permission again, it's yours, and you don't have to ask us for anything.

This fellow may be the high priest of a sasquatch UFO death cult...then again perhaps not...it's up to you, the writer. I'll jack this foo'. I'm thinking that the picture could work triple duty - the multiverse is like Sliders, and each universe has discrete versions of the same people. I'll generate an NPC (stats + some fluff) from the drawing for three different game systems (Mutant Future, Encounter Critical, and ). "Minions of the Multiverse" or something like that, maybe a page or two total...

This seems like a great image to inspire a short spells/magic article, if anyone's game.... If you need a more print-friendly image, let me know.

crusssdaddy: I would love for you to jack that foo'. Jack away, with my compliments. I would suggest the third stat adaptation be for OD&D (or fauxD&D or whatever's legal in FO), of course. Perhaps I'm missing some implied irony in your emoticon....
vito: Those are some wicked towers. The first one oozes with an almost H.R. Giger-esque menace. Only the strangest and most terrible beings would engineer such an affront to the senses!

Disclaimer: this is not a finished piece, rather, it is a notebook doodle that I spray painted in photoshop for a minute or two. I present it here with the promise that should some enterprising author wish to write something inspired by it I will do a fully realized version....all this with Calithena's persmission of course. Rumor: they came from space for our pollen. All of it!

Patw - the tower is lovely. Agree with Jasons' comment. You get in both Howard and Lovecraft the notion of alien architectures so bizarre and wrong that a human has trouble contemplating their form. You've captured some of that. In other words, I missed it as a tower on first glance. Thought instead that it was a monster but a sick and twisted one. And what could be wrong with that? Nothing.
If I can make you puke [you might be thinking as you draw...], does an angel order another Giger print?
Hmm, maybe Giger lived there...

Wow!
Issue 12 is finally going to see multiple follow-ups on this thread.
I think we are good to go with Pigdivot and we plan to run it this time.
JasonS: I have an article that would use your ape picture. Can I run it? I guess the question is whether crusssdaddy already made something based on it or not, maybe he'll check back in and let us know.
Kelvin: Did I already use that charming mummy hand picture? If not, I would like to.
Jensen: I am looking for some halfling thieves whispering in cant for this issue, but if not, your guy would do as a nice illo too. Can I use him?
And finally, there was a great scenario written on the basis of Vito's art, so Vito, if you would like to email me higher-res versions at calithena@gmail.com and also tell me what name you want to be credited under in the magazine, that would be great! Thanks!

Laying out Patrick Wetmore's interpretation of Vito's picture right now! Any other artists want to have a go? This is a fun idea that has spawned several articles to date. Flightless devil bees anyone?

Why is it that anything becomes cool when you attach the word "Devil" to it...
