I just found this thread at the CotI forum discussing a game from the old days called "Star Rover." It's the first I had ever heard of this game. Apparently it was to Traveller what Arduin was to OD&D, and Dave Hargrove was a part of the project as well! Any old timers have any knowledge of this game?

Earlier I posted some fragments of a review of the game. I've since determined that all six parts can be accessed here: www.mrlizard.com/characters/46-science-fictionSo I deleted the other posts I had made. Better to read it from the source....

As a further comment, I went to the review of Star Rover (linked above) and waded through all six parts. I did a quick copy-paste into a Word doc for later reading and the darned review was about 20 pages. Just the game review. Lots of details about the game, but the more I read the less I was interested in finding it. I think that Arduin has some cool ideas, but it's way more complex than OD&D. Same thing for Star Rover. I'm just not sure if it "improves" on Traveller at all.... Cool to read about, though.
