Lately, I have been thinking about the Merfolk of Blackmoor. The main reference to them is DA4 p 34, where it is described how Skandaharian Raiders have killed some Mermen, leading to hostilities towards the Skandaharians on the part of the Merefolk. They are allied with Dolphins who also dislike the Skandaharians.
Snorri provided me with the following information about Merefolk from M&T:
D&D Supplement II: Blackmoor has more:
Another thing to take into the account is the Realm of the Egg. The Lands of the Egg rose from the Black Sea a few hundred years ago. Could those lands have been populated by Merfolk in the past? Is the Realm of the Egg built on the ruins of Merfolk cities? Could it have been the Merefolk who originally awakened the Egg from its submerged slumber? The D20 Blackmoor Sourcebook also mentions how the Naliseth Sea Monsters are believed to have been bred by the Egg. This is another reason for the Merfolk to hate that evil entity.
Any other ideas on the Black Sea Merfolk?

"MERMEN: Mermen are similar to Berserkers in most respects, but they fight at -1 on land. They are armed with tridents and darts{50/50). Armor class is equal to Leather Armor.", M&T, p. 6

Supplement II p 15:
Mermen are more intelligent than Lizardmen. These aquatic beings use weapons like humans do. They hunt fish, their primary food source. They maintain regular underwater communities where schools of fish are kept penned in with nets for food. Giant Seahorses are used extensively for transportation. In many ways Merman civilization rivals that of humans…. Meremen are neutral.
