Hi Folks! Time to start brainstorming for issue 7. What do people plan to contribute? We have some good stuff already in the queue but we can always use more. It is the M. A. R. Barker dedication issue, so if you have Tekumel, weird-fantasy, science-fantasy, or possibly asian/south american themed stuff in your work pile, it might be appropriate for this issue. Knights & Knaves, Creepies & Crawlies, Artifacts, Adjuncts, & Oddments, new classes, and new spells are always desirable. I'd also like some vanilla fantasy and some K&K-approvable High Gygaxian FRP stuff. We get some of that every issue, but based on some correspondence I've been having I think maybe it's underrepresented. Oh, and it will get released around Halloween, so H-themed stuff is always good. Stuff I think is coming in: - Lee's level 6 of TDB (based on a comment in a thread I can't find ) - More cool Mutant Future stuff from jrients - Flying exploding pumpkins from kelvin, kesher, and coffee - reviews from zach and jeff What else? Post here.... I have a bunch of stuff that's already in the queue too, like another adventure from Taichara, an ogre cave from kensanata, Baz Blatt on the Pe Choi and with a Tekumel one-page dungeon, a critical hits article from ll2, another 'dungeon module' from Geoff Dale...oh heck, there's more, it's on my other computer. You can remind me if you sent me stuff too.

Aside from the aforementioned review(s?), I have two other items that are almost done:
-A Triad of Terror--3 variant monsters for your Halloween enjoyment! Short article, but monsters are always fun.
-Gerd's Mill--A vanilla fantasy drop-in small village centered around a watermill. Very rural, very small. Includes village descriptions and a map of the environs.
Right now, the map is sort of bare-bones. If anyone wants to help fancy it up a little, I'd be obliged.
I should be sending both of those in the next week, at the latest.

I#ve got another character class for LL or S&W - THE ADVENTURER. It's finished and I can send it to you.

I have been thinking about something, but it will likely have to be brief. Work's afoot.

I've got an idea for a Halloween-themed magic item, but I don't normally design stuff for D&D-style games, so I don't know how good it'll be. I'll throw it together anyway, and you can see if passes muster. Also, the flying jack o'lanterns are a go, I think, and I'm working on some art for them.

We always need more magic items, Kelvin!
All that stuff sounds good. Some Lux is better than no Lux, I say!

Hey calithena - do you still have those spells I sent (late for last deadline) or should I resend 'em?

If you're interested, I have a new character class for EPT I'd like to submit, perhaps along with some small Tékumel-related goodies (magic items, monsters, etc.).

I was thinking about submitting a few locations from my Jakalla megadungeon, and possibly a very short blurb about a heretical cult to be found in my version of Tekumel.
Is that interesting? Regarding the dungeon areas, about how long should that submission be and what sort of maps ought to go with it (I don't use the computer to make maps or anything)?

Hello Cal,
I intend to send in another flavor piece for Hyperborea, the setting for my forthcoming RPG, Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea. Presently I'm still bouncing around the details in me old noggin, but I've already received confirmation that AS&SH interior artist Ian Baggley will be providing another illustration.
All the best, Jeff T.

I will have my dungeon level, the Fane of Salicia, ready for your Sept/Oct time frame. Being much smaller than the cave systems, the total page count might be able to return to the lower target sum previously discussed. Regrettably, all the art I can do for the issue will be in this feature.

That's OK Lee, make it the way you want.
Korgoth, that sounds great. Scanned hand drawn maps we can work with, I actually like them and I suppose if they totally suck (can't be worse than mine!) we can probably get Alex or someone to redraw them.
Jeff, sounds intriguing, and I love Ian's art, so I'll check it out when it gets here!

Sent my Triad of Terror and Hexographer review w/ screenshots. Working on the map for Gerd's Mill, then that'll be along as well.

I had a idea for a mini-sandbox Mutant Future adventure (background, map, 2-3 brief encounters, new monster). Does that sound interesting?

Oh, that reminds me!
I still have the exact same thing for MF - only it's set in the north of Germany with a lot of allusions to and insider gags about today's Germany. No idea if it would be of any interest to readers in the US, GB or other English speaking countries. If some of you think it might be interesting, I'm going to translate it.

I was thinking about doing a mini-essay expanding on my Random events make you say yes post. Would such a theory / how-to article be a good fit for the issue?

I'm planning on finishing off my Searchers of the Unknown mod "Witches of N'kai" and a yet to be named one page dungeon to accompany it some time next week.

Some Lux is better than no Lux, I say! Truer words never spoken. I may be the only one, but I think the best thing in FO#6 was Gabor's border fort and trader encounters. Anyway, I should have a thing with some items for Spellcraft & Swordplay (if I can ever get my darned Old-School Dark Sun thing out of my head).

Hi Cal, I could probably submit an overview of my campaign setting "Ilmahal" (nothing too detailed: essentially a brief history, some city summaries, and a few ideas for adventures), along with a colour map. The map and a quick description of the setting can be found here: akraticwizardry.blogspot.com/2009/08/ilmahal-overview-map.html
