OCC: sorry, not very inspired today so no long-winded descriptions.
The character's get fed and watered and go back into the warehouse. Hritsekkash, Timhuvaz, the "twins" and a gaggle of slaves accompany them and the group arrives to where Issa and Hrahyosh are guarding the hole (and beginning to get bored).
Some slaves have brought food and water they give to the sentinels. Others are carrying a stout wood ladder which gets lowered down into the pit.
Like the merchant said, the twins will be guarding over the pit. You agree on a call-sign to warn them of your identities upon your return.

Issa takes a moment to inspect her equipment. "Do we have a goal, other than exploration?"

Hrahyosh gratefully eats the food brought to him, and returns Issa's dagger with a polite "Thanks".

Issa takes a moment to inspect her equipment. "Do we have a goal, other than exploration?" "Yes Issa, we do. Treasure, knowledge(experience) and power. All things that my Mighty Lord Ksarul teaches us are important. With them, we can cease to be nakome foreigners and instead become people of importance in this land. Without them, we are doomed to short, unpleasant existences that end badly."

Mighty Ksarul is the Ancient Lord of Secrets and the Master of magic and Sorcery and one of the Lords of Change. He teaches that power is the goal of each of us and that power comes from knowledge

Sadly, Trinesh is correct, we must take great risks or we have no future here ... or anywhere. La! Slave, give me that water skin in case we have to stay longer below than any of us wish. Have we enough torches and lanterns? What of bags or carrying clothes to haul our vast treasure from this pit?Do'olnar grins ruefully.

OCC: to answer Issa's question the party's goal is scouting more than exploration. Hritsekkash just learned there is a hole and tunnel underneath his premises and he wants to know where it leads before he closes the whole thing.
The group and their two torch-bearing slaves descend into the pit. Like you assumed all the people can fit down there although with a remarkable lack of elbow space.
The arched tunnel with the blood spatterings looms before you. Above you see the forms of Hritsekkash and Timhuvaz leaning over the edge. The Livyani again gives his wishes of good luck and a swift return.
What is the next action of our brave band?
OOC: like I stated, the passage is wide enough for you to maintain your usual marching order.

"Let us begin our climb to greatness by exploring this trail of blood. Either the slave who vanished fell and drug himself away or was taken away by another dlaqo or some other horror of the Underworld. Let us find out."
OOC: How is the air down here? Do we need to try to filter what we breathe? How far down the tunnel can we see and do we see any other openings in the sides or floor? I will be scanning for secret doors until we reach the body of the slave.

"It would probably be wise to reshuffle our order. Picking one's way inside a warehouse is quite different from exploring the Tsuru'um."

Hredarru wishes to proceed with caution, keeping his wits about him. The Fighter is satisfied with the previously established marching order. Unless someone can think of a good reason to change it Hredarru is prepared to move forward, following the trail of blood.

OOC: The air is much better down in the pit, no need for filter. You can see down the tunnel a far as the lantern light illuminates and there appear to be no openings. To be able to search for secret doors the party will have to move slowly.

Have you a suggestion, o' estimable brother sorcerer? I can cast clairvoyance but once more this day and doubt "Control of Self" will aid much in combat. Still I have some minimal skill in the tsuru'úmikh (underground) and possibly I should be in the first rank as we move, though I know Issa and Hredarru both have sharper eyes than mine.
Tomb Raider 40%. DM, can Control of Self increase my dismal perception of 37% and for how long -- didn't find a time limit in the book?
Now, as I understand it, MO is:
Hrahyosh Trinesh Lantern Boy #1 Hredarru Tregarsh Do'olnar Lantern Boy #2 Oippuo Issa

Hrahyosh starts moving forward toward the bloodstained path with the arches. Carefully scanning the walls, floor and ceiling as he moves. If a light doesn't start moving along with him, he growls at the lanternbearer "Boy, if you don't bring that light up by me, I'll put you out in front of me. Let's move out."

Do'olnar moves up beside Hrahyosh, to his right. Dagger in hand to throw, and two at his belt, he scans for secret doors and traps.
It would make my skein longer, no doubt, if Hredarru and Tregarsh would follow now.

Issa makes no complaints about moving slowly. She keeps an eye on the slave beside her, ready to grab him or whisper courage into his ear if necessary.

OCC: Tomb Raider? d**n that Sushih! Where did he get that skill from? It's not in the book...
No, Control of Self will not increase your perception but it might help to offset penalties from certain environmental situations (smoke, etc). That spell lasts for as long as the caster concentrates on it.
With the new marching order set the fearless band sets out deeper into the passage and into the hidden recesses of the upper Underworld. The tunnel seems considerable well-preserved considering its apparent age, it stretches mostly in a straight line with little deviation. The blood trail becomes less evident as you march, soon turning into small blots here and there.
The group makes slow progress, allowing for party members to seek any hidden passages or traps...
(roll, roll, roll)
...but nothing is found.
The light from the slaves' lanterns can no longer reach the entrance you left behind and you have been traveling and checking the walls for a good amount of minutes. The passage suddenly turns sharply left and as you follow it you see that about 30 feet ahead it reaches it end, apparently opening into a room or hall of sorts which you cannot perceive in detail from this distance.
What do you do?

Assuming we were already moving as silently as possible, Hrahyosh continues to near the opening. Assuming whoever is in the front rank with him is doing the same.

Do'olnar moves with him, keeping alert, listening as hard as I can (g) and ready to step aside to allow Tregarsh past for combat. If the circumstances seem to warrant, I'll throw one dagger first.
Er, ... Tomb ROBBER 40%. Sorry. What does it do, if anything?
