Kind of a neat 25-minute video about what makes the DCC RPG such a cool game www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmuSiUM4_mQHere are his major points. 1. Easy to learn --> DCC compared to 3E and 5E. 2. Emphasis on player skill over character builds --> Resource management and a lot of discussion about the “luck” stat. 3. Magic is unpredictable. --> Random charts, spellburn 4. Game is deadly. --> Most of the modules written are deadly if you aren’t careful. 5. Fantastic first and third party support. --> Goodman has dozens of modules to pick from, other companies have many as well. --> Settings include Lankhmar, Mutants, Transylvania, Dying Earth, Hubris, Purple Planet, Empire of the East. --> Free quick start PDF online, $5 quick start print, $25 softback, so cheap to get started.

Here's another video that is pretty fun. It's aimed at folks who have never played DCC, but it does a pretty good job of selling the good points of the game. This one is also around 25 minutes in length. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yXv_jLtJ-ESome highlights: "It's by no means a perfect system but if you love chaos, rulings before rules, and completely unbalanced play, Dungeon Crawl Classics may be for you." Art and Layout: Lots of variety; conveys the tone of the game. Most of the game is art and tables, so not as many rules as it looks like. You can download a "quick reference" of all of the key tables. It's on the Goodman Games website. Classes and tiers of play: Zero level "funnel" and regular level play. Zero level is a lot like folks on a game show. Zero level character generator on purplesorcerer.com to print out sheets. Level play is similar in philosophy to most other RPGs. Luck stat -- thieves can get luck back quickly and roll luck dice to do stuff. Magic -- chaotic and unpredictable; spells get stronger with higher dice rolls. Elf, Dwarf, halfling are classes of their own. Similar to B/X in that regard. Lots of free options at Purple Sorcerer games. Character generators, dice rollers, etc. Discussion of options for online play. (Fantasy Grounds, Foundry, etc.) ---> Foundry has a $25 online package that has the full core rulebook, drag-and-drop options, etc. Highly recommended by video.

These are great resources. Thanks for sharing them. I'm going to pass them along in one of my favorite Discord servers, where folks were recently discussing checking out DCC.
