Glad to hear that this project is close to launch. Sorry to hear that you are having shipping issues outside the USA.

Glad to hear that this project is close to launch. Sorry to hear that you are having shipping issues outside the USA. Yeah, it sucks big time. On the up side, UK and EU fans can still get our stuff through Studio 2 or via distribution at their FLGS.

I guess that Studio 2 deal was a stroke of luck, then.

I guess that Studio 2 deal was a stroke of luck, then. Not luck so much as me putting in the work to secure my company distribution. But yes, at least we still have a way to get IN PRINT products into the hands of our fans. I'm trying to get in touch with S2 to ask about using them to fulfill my Kickstarter, which would solve the problem, but it depends on what the cost would be to do that.

It has come to my attention that an alternate solution may exist for our EU and UK customers: a package forwarding service that gives you a U.S. address and allows you to manage shipping to you from there (often at discounted rates). I'm looking into this now, but some options that seem viable at a glance are:

Glad to hear that this project is close to launch. We are live now! Link in the first post; check it out! Yeah, it really sucks. I'm still working on it and hoping to find a workaround. I MAY have found one but don't want to get anyone's hopes up yet.

Question: maybe I'm reading the kickstart page wrong, but is there a print+PDF option that doesn't include the GM screen insert pages or the module? I have both of those two items already.

Do you have any plans to publish O.G.R.E.S. separately? The mechanics sound cool. I backed to give it a read and support, but I rarely play horror games. Maybe around Halloween.

Thank you for the support! The thing about Night Shift is that it's not purely horror. You can do horror with it, yes, but it's more geared towards modern urban fantasy--think Buffy, Lost Girl, even the Arrowverse, stuff like that. My next O.G.R.E.S. game is going to be a swords and sorcery game. But I believe very strongly in being able to easily divorce setting from mechanics, so really what Night Shift: VSW is, is my house system for modern role playing. Wasted Lands: The Dreaming Age will be the fantasy rules. EVENTUALLY, down the line, Twelve Parsecs will be the Sci-Fi rules. Sometime, far in the distant future, there may be a "Generic" rulebook unattached to any genre, but the truth is, those REALLY don't sell well. I think (and hope) you'll be pleased to see that as it stands, Night Shift: VSW lets you use old school mechanics to play pretty much any kind of modern game you want, from 1930s pulp to stark post-apocalyptic survival horror and beyond. There's no baked-in setting; rather, we include a number of example mini-settings which just give you the bones to build on and play however you like.

Only 5 days left on the Kickstarter, folks! If you haven't backed yet, now is the time! We've had a weird kind of stasis going on the past week or so where we're losing as many posts as we are gaining. Let's get some of these stretch goals unlocked! I KNOW you guys want the GM screens! If you haven't backed yet, now is the time! Share it around; let's expand our reach and open some eyes to Elf Lair Games!

Well we finished just over $5,500. I had really hoped we'd get to $6,500 and unlock those screens, so that was a disappointment, but overall I can't really complain! The screens WILL still be produced; they just aren't going to be offered as a free upgrade for those at higher pledge levels. It was a disappointment not making the $6,500 pledge level, but hey, I can't complain overall. That stretch in the middle there was the weirdest thing I ever saw in a Kickstarter. It was like, the MOMENT we got over $4,800, someone IMMEDIATELY, like, WITHIN MINUTES, dumped a $100 pledge, like it was a strange, "let's keep this specific Kickstarter from making its goals" conspiracy. No, I don't think it actually was a conspiracy. That's just the level of weirdness
