On a side note The Dynamite comics authorized by the estate have been hit or miss. But I just picked up the Vampirella meets Dejah Thoris series and gotta say it looks pretty good.

I guess what turns me off about the new books the estate is publishing is that they are all hardbacks. I love hardback books, but they are doing the Tarzan book series in hardback and the new Carson of Venus and Barsoom books in hardback and it seems like they are all $25-$30 or so per book. I would rather gamble on a paperback or two first and then decide if the stories were hardback quality, but they are doing things the other way where the books are hardback and at hardback prices. I understand their marketing model, but I don't know enough about quality and have read enough bad fanfic to be nervous about the price.

@finarvyn I share your concerns. These days I do much of my reading on Kindle and would like to get them in affordable eBooks. It's pretty handy to carry my Kindle around and have a big library to choose from when on a trip.
I've also started reading digital comics. Nothing will ever replace the feel of paper, but the portability is worth it.
Also I can zoom in, a real advantage as I need thicker glasses. :\

Doesn't "Gods of the Forgotten" sound like it is missing a noun? Forgotten what?

Doesn't "Gods of the Forgotten" sound like it is missing a noun? Yes, it was forgotten
I can see that, but it doesn't sound especially wrong to me, just a bit oblique.

I would assume that "the Forgotten" represents a particular culture or race on Barsoom, so this would deal with the gods of those folk.
