Anyone get to play this yet?
What about something not designed for solo play like InfiNity?

"Bug Hunt" is compatible and the surviving characters can join a Five Parsecs crew.

I'm interested in these games by Nordic Weasel but have held off buying. Watched a couple vids of play on different channels. I also picked up his free rule set Five Kilometers from Leipzig. It seems they all share similar mechanics and can be played solo or with a couple others. I guess I'm really waiting for Modiphius to publish his Five Leagues from the Borderlands game then I'll probably pick up Five Parsecs at the same time.

I have the 2ed Five Leagues which is good but, the latest Five Parsecs just feels like a more complete game. Can hardly wait to play the new 5 Leagues.

You’re probably right about it feeling more complete. The one complaint I’ve heard is about the trickling in of new rules to the base game at $2-3 a pdf. The Modiphius version likely incorporates all of that in one book.

"Feed the fish." Makes sense if you are one guy trying to be remembered and make a living in a crowded market. Keep putting out updates. Better than the big companies that "revise" the rules on a regular basis. Requiring you to rebuy multiple books all over again to be "Official", with just small changes.

What about something not designed for solo play like InfiNity? I've given Infinity a try, mixing the 2d20 RPG rules with the tabletop game rules. Didn't quite work as intended because of the huge difference in how damage is done and taken, but it was fun. For scenario ideas and enemies I used the available card decks, which worked nicely. If you'd like to try an "Infinity-esque" rules-light skirmish variant, try One Page Rules' Double Tap, found here: onepagerules.com/portfolio/one-off-games/It's free btw I've played several duels already and while it looks like it's not much, you're actually quite free to quickly build your own units and get into the action. I'd advise not to power-game, but to stick to the abilities the units have in their original setting. I've played my Infinity Aleph and Nomads with this system against a friend's Haqqislam and it was a charm. Much faster than Infinity, at the cost of less special abilities.

I am a really big Five Leagues player, I'm not particularly excited for the 3rd edition from Modiphius as I am heavily invested in the 2nd edition both in money and game time spent. It is my favorite solo game. Easily tweaked gives good games, captures a real "D&D party in the wilderness" feel except it's light on the magic. I give it a Punkrabbitt two ears up.

So a mixed blessing if it turns out noticeably better as we expect.
I'm happy that it is moving up in visibility. As you say it's already a very good solo game.

Here’s another skirmish game that may be of interest that’s getting some buzz. Space WeirdosI wanted to post about this the other day when it was half price. Still affordable at $5.
