Looks like a Kickstarter is "coming soon." Hope this is good...

I thought this was already kickstarted (in 2020), but I just checked the DCC forums and...
Sounds like the KS is now supposed to start this summer. O-0
I'll be happy when everything else starts up and runs normally again, as I am sure that the delay is largely in part due to the world-wide pause.

Kickstart is supposed to go live today. Demo on twitch as I type. (I know, me being high-tech?)

I wish they had an option for the 6 modules only.

Jeebus. The KS is nearly at 200K, and still has 20 days to go.

Yeah, I haven't kicked in yet. I'm going to run some DCC for my current group and see how they react to the game, then use that info to help me decide if I want to buy in or not. Actually, I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy in but waiting makes my wife happy.

I kicked in for $1. I’ve found you can always go in and get whatever you want from the Backerkit as long as you are in.

I kicked in for $1. I’ve found you can always go in and get whatever you want from the Backerkit as long as you are in. That's crazy! You'd think they would have a tighter system than that. I don't have any real desire to back this thing, as I'd never use it, but now I'm want to try that trick to see.

I don't have any real desire to back this thing, as I'd never use it... I read Eyes of the Overworld years ago and am now finally reading the rest of the series. The stories are very entertaining and offer an interesting twist on how a D&D campaign might be run, where ne'er-do-well roguish adventurers are constantly on the run from the authorities. Similar to Leiber's Lankhmar stories, yet different in many ways. I think the DCC version of the rules will be fun even if I don't play it with DCC. I have been following some of the podcasts and these rules have some interesting twists to them. DCC RPG spellcasting is already designed to give more variety in results, and these rules seem to be adding to that effect.

I'm just not interested in shelf queens anymore. Already have too much.

Yeah, I think the list included another 2-3 adventures, more spells, more curses, sample manse ... I can't remember it all, but it's supposed to be exclusive to the KS. I watched the twitch show but didn't write it all down and it's not updated on their KS page.
Nearly $200K, over 2,000 backers, still 18 days to go.

I pledged for the full package. Long-time Vance fan but found the previous Dying Earth RPG a little too impenatrable to present to players reared on D&D.

I’m in for the print box set, but probably going to increase my pledge to make sure I get everything. I’m really enjoying the daily updates. I’m rereading the stories as well and having a blast.

It was fun watching the action live on Goodman's twitch show. They hit 350 (the stretch goal for a 2nd box for the extras) with around 8 minutes left in the KS. Guests on the show included members of the design team, Erol Otis, and Jack Vance's son. Seems like quite a lot of interest in this project.

Glad to see how well they did! Even with the Kickstarter over, we had a good time interviewing the designers Julian Bernick & Bob Brinkman about what they've put in the DCC Dying Earth boxed set:

Briefly perused a pdf of the first book. Very good. Lots of stuff that could be incorporated into an OD&D campaign even if you don’t play DCC.

I printed it today but haven't had a chance to look it through. For those not "in the know" we're talking about a proofreading copy of the core material. Goodman Games is hoping to stomp out typos. The real thing is still a while off, but hopefully arriving sooner than later.
