Hello odd74 I've just requested to join as MrBDouglass.
It seems unlikely anyone here knows me: although I've been gaming since I was 12 (Moldvay!) I have never really been active online. I used to read a lot of forums, back before my life exploded in 2018, but I don't blog & I don't play computer games. I used to post a lot in the Iron Crown forums (20+ yrs ago), although I don't remember my username from back then.
I've played everything from B/X through 5E (skipped 4E entirely), Pathfinder, Hackmaster & RoleMaster (several versions). I served as an unpaid playtester with the old Iron Crown team: RMSS Arcane Companion, Run Out the Guns (https://rpggeek.com/rpgitem/45287/run-out-guns) and the first Middle Earth CCG (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle-earth_Collectible_Card_Game). Of course, this was back before they lost the Middle Earth license and went bankrupt. I also helped out with HARP Fantasy, although I never really liked it. I went to GenCon 3 years in a row, back in the 90s. I always wanted to go to Dragon Con, but my crowd based anxiety gets worse every year, so I don't think that's ever going to happen.
Writing all of that out makes me feel old...
Some of my pals on odd74 are: ChicagoWiz sent me a link (https://odd74.proboards.com/board/64/chicagowiz-modern-od-game) to these forums after I emailed him a question about an OD&D game he ran set in modern Chicago. I'm currently thinking about running something similar for new friends in my new town.

This blog started as a deram of an old school gaming repository, but evolved to became a more diversified site, with all sort of resources and news for a lot of styles of games. Is there some additional step involved? I tried to log in, and it said I needed a verification email. I checked in my email (including spam) but didnt find one.
Then I submitted a request to have it resent, and ... still no email. I am certain that I am doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is.
Help?
