Would the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tv shows fit into this genre, or the movie Red Cliff?

Would the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tv shows fit into this genre, or the movie Red Cliff? Yes I think Romance of the Three Kingdoms would although I haven't seen the TV series, I will have to see if I can download them. I don't know about Red Cliff I and II, I've got the movies downloaded but haven't watched them yet. They are more grand historic movies about the fall of the Han dynasty and the rise of the Three Kingdoms? With the great generals Cao Cao, Liu Bei and etc. But I think we can discuss a wide range of Chinese, Korean and Japanese cinema

The older one has a better Zhuge Liang but the newer one has a better Cao Cao, and I love that villain. The Red Cliff movies are just a big budget re-telling of the failed assault by Wei's forces against the allied Shu and Wu forces. Basically roughly the middle point of the narrative of Romance. That critical battle where Wei loses its fleet and has to run home to nurse its wounds. Also based on the novelization but definitely more "Big Cinema" style than the tv shows.

I think this one fits in the Wuxia genre; it's a personal favorite of mine: THE BRIDE WITH WHITE HAIR with the great Brigitte Lin in the title role.

Otto, I hope you enjoy it! There was a sequel, THE BRIDE WITH WHITE HAIR 2, also with Ms. Lin; it's enjoyable, but not as good as the first.

I saw a good one today that was new to me--SEVEN SWORDS. This is Tsui Hark's Wuxia version of THE SEVEN SAMURAI/THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN. Lots of great action and some cool magic swords!

The Legendary Twins has been made several times into movies and at least one television series.

I'm not sure if it would be a fit, since it's not a movie but a series, and I don't know if it would be more appropriate to label it as Wuxia or Kung Fu (or something else), but: This is the best series I've ever watched. Marco Polo. Although the history is about Kublai Khan and the Mongol Empire (I'm ignoring the explicit "Marco Polo" in the name), all the main characters and villains are versed in Kung Fu and it have the best Kung Fu fight scene I saw in cinema so far.
It actually makes me want to run an OD&D game on the genre, three core classes... Cleric would be "Monk" instead, Magic-User could be called Mystic/Wu/Fa Shu/Taoist Sorcerer or something, and the Fighter could be called Wanderer or Vagrant I think, since in most of these movies there are those wanderer adventurers without a home or a cause. And they're often the protagonists. This could also help a lot to start the game, in some of these movies the "hero" just happen to be passing by when he is caught in the middle of something, likewise we can run some adventures without worrying about a big plot going on, we can just put some guys with bamboo hats, cloaks and daggers flying and we're good. And I think there is a lot of space for dungeon crawling in the genre as well, I can see lost tombs scattered all over China with a lot of golden dragon statues to be found.

Great visuals but the Australian accents makes me cringe like in the movie "300"
