"Sounds like a job for Sharon," Thaddeus mutters, looking up and down the hall for trouble. "Just say the word if you need a hand in there, but a rough looking group of strangers like us might not get settle her nerves too good."

"I'll keep an eye on these too." Mother keeps her gun trained on the guards.

Logan will ask the guards, "Do you really know what's going on in this hospital?"
Then add, "If you are good and survive this, you might want to ask some questions of your bosses."

Sharon and Jack enter Janet's room. She is resting after having had a severely broken hand repaired. She's a bit confused, they did an MRI which doesn't seem appropriate for a broken hand. They have also been doing a number of intelligence/brain games with her.
Out in the hall, the security staff say that they just provide security and that the hospital serves those who are indigent.

Just for clarification, did Janet break her hand or her leg or both?

Just for clarification, did Janet break her hand or her leg or both? Oops, fixed... she broke her hand. I was originally making it leg, but then thought about the fact there wasn't evidence of that in her apartment on Ludgates... Hand works a bit better...

(Sorry for the radio silence!)
Sharon says, "'Indigent', my crupshankles. C'mon Janet, I hope you can walk with that broken hand, we're getting out of here. "
Let's retrace our steps as quickly as possible and bug out.

Are there any security cameras that may be recording our activities?

Are there any security cameras that may be recording our activities? Yes and no... The professor has subverted the security cameras. He is replaying loops of recording without intruders to keep your presence unknown.

"If we're done here, I think we should skedaddle!"

Agreed! Should we knock out the guards first, or just leave them to free themselves? We don't want them raising the alarm.

I think we should find out what was going on here while we escape back to the ship, and prepare to blast off for another planet if needed in a hurry

Ok, you truss up and gag the guards and skedaddle. As you head back towards the air/raft, a nurse pops out of a nearby room and asks where you are going.

Also, the professor, seeing this on the security camera subversion, quickly does a status check and reports so far, the security camera subversion is working fine. Other than dealing with the nurse, you're still good to go.
Oh, and I think it's safe to assume those cell phones come with wireless earbuds...

The nurse demands to see some paperwork on the transfer (reaction roll 5).

Should we take this one hostage? Yep, at least, until we exit the premises.

"Of course, here's our paperwork right here," Sharon says, pressing the barrel of her gun into the nurse's ribs. She adds quietly out of the corner of her mouth, "Get moving, and not a peep. Cooperate until we're out of here and you've got nothing to worry about."
She'll walk directly behind the nurse, close enough to press into her and keep the gun on her.

"Ok, that works for me."
The nurse shuts up real fast and stays quiet. You reach the roof and the air/raft without further complication.
Taking the nurse with for now or leaving her on the roof? You could easily drop her off in a nearby alley.

Let's drop her off nearby. That should give users time to get out before she can alert anyone. We'll strip her of communication devices first though.

We need to handle her as gently as possible. As far as we know, she's not doing anything but her job.
Logan will leave her with the admonition to look into what her bosses are up to. as there are "patients" in that hospital that may be there against their will.
Ok, assuming we get this far, is it back to the ship and a quick lift off? For where?

Should we tell her where the security guards are being held? They may not have gotten loose yet. Maybe we should drop her off where it's not too close to the hospital. I'd like us to leave the planet before she sounds the alarm. As to where we'll go, how about we give false information about our destination if we need to. Then we'll pick a random planet in another star system.

You also had a commission for Bastinadi (from Cheapside):
The bartender introduces you to Hermenia Sergiones. Her husband apparently went to Bastinadi over a year ago in search of an alien artifact, possibly psionic related. When the bartender picked up that you were going to Bastinadi, he called her and referred her to you. She would like you to contact her husband and either bring him home, or bring news of what he is up to. She offers Cr10,000 for information, and an additional Cr75,000 if you are able to convince him to return home.
The husband's name is Pablo hault-Sergiones. He left for Bastinadi about a year ago. He shared nothing about the artifact, though his interest in psionics make her think the artifact might have something to do with psionics. He was going to contact the native population there and seek information leading to the artifact. He had been sending monthly letters to her, but she has not received one now for over two months. That is about the extent of the information she has. She will share the letters in case they are of any help in locating him.

I guess reading through the letters could give us some leads. At least a rought idea of where to start searching for him.
