Episode 7 is live! We’re calling this a “Supplementary” episode because the basic premise was not a module so much as playing out the spacefaring rules from Starships & Spacemen. Great fun was had! www.rpgpopclub.com/podcast.html

Check out the latest Special Episode from RPG Pop Club! We interviewed Michael Scott, author and designer of the RPG ruleset we use: Star Trek: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier (1978, Heritage Games). “Scotty” gave us a unique look into early Star Trek fan culture and the early RPG hobby, including personal anecdotes about Franz Joseph, Dave Arneson, Larry Niven, James Doohan, Lou Zocchi, Robert A. Heinlein, and Poul Anderson! www.rpgpopclub.com/podcast.html

I finally started listening while on errands today, and what a wonderful treat it was to see an interview with Michael Scott!
Still listening to it, but I just wanted to comment during a pause. Fascinating interview, and really great show, well done.

Really interesting interview Falconer. He makes a good point about Star Trek being primarily about exploration- a perfect SF corollary to D&D in that respect. Of course I found his story about playing Chainmail with Arneson and the original Blackmoor castle fascinating. That must have been somewhere between 71-73 if D&D had not been published yet. I'd like to know more about the Heritage rules you're using. Are you incorporating the rules expansion from Different Worlds 18 for advancement? Not using advancement? Or made up your own system?

We played and reviewed two more Klingon modules. One is the best and awesomest Star Trek module we’ve played, and one is the worst (but you know we made it fun) — but I won’t say which is which. Enjoy! www.rpgpopclub.com/podcast.html
