I'm soon going to be printing out the three volumes of Delving Deeper, and it occurred to me that I'd love to have a box to store them in.
Has anyone found storage for their booklets in the style of the original rules? Does anyone know if if such things are for sale or where to get them?

6"x 9" is a standard shipping box size that is used by many companies. The downside is you may have to buy them in bulk to get a good price. Or see if you can find someplace that sells them individually.

I have a couple boxes from this KS but was somewhat disappointed as they are 1/4" smaller than 6x9

Perfectly fine for horseshoes and hand grenades.

This is frustratingly just a bit too small. It is 5 3/8" wide. A digest book is 5 1/2" wide.

Hamurai's find looks the closest, if anyone orders 1 let us know. Good find.

My concern is that any 8.5 x 5.5 book would get stuck/jammed inside the box and be a pain to dig out.
Further, some books (like my Wormskin zines or Classic Traveller books) are all slightly under 9x6... which means they wouldn't fit at all.
Of course, this makes me wonder if the shipping box from Amazon would run the same risk: If the exterior is 9x6, that means the interior might not be big enough for my needs.
The weird thing is we know boxes of such size exist -- or at least once existed. They were used for OD&D and Classic Traveller at least. I wonder if they were specifically ordered for these products.

Just checked. A single box from Game Crafter would be around $17 with tax and shipping

Tried several searches with "telescoping" and "rigid box," and unfortunately couldn't come up with anything beyond what's already been mentioned. Strange that rigid stationary boxes seem to be plentiful for various common sizes, except digest.

I've actually been working on creating a wood grain box to the precise dimensions of the original D&D set. I mentioned it in another thread, but here is a picture of how it came out. You can see more of it on my blog.

The Inside Dimensions are approximately 8-3/4" x 6" x 2". Big enough to handle digest, 6x9 (which run a little smaller than 9x6), and A5. Also, I never thought of looking for faux books... but it's perfect in some ways! Robert, thanks so much!

I use them for containing material for Swords & Wizardry, and Traveller. My OD&D stuff would fit but I use the wooden box from the Collector's edition for that purpose. However lately what I done with the availability of PDF is use these I print out my stuff on 5.5 by 8.5 paper use tabs and pockets to hold stuff. I will take a picture tonight.

Oh, I've got those binders too.
What I learned when I ran my LotFP campagin is that I didn't really use the binders. I really like, to my surprise, having little pamphlets that hold an advneture, or a rules volume, or a setting. When I made my own adventures I would format them for booklet printing, print them, and staple them. I found having smaller, discrete units of gameplay material was a sweet spot for me!
