I like the scorpion-men figures a lot! It looks like it is very handy that they can hold a die on their back!

And a dirty die it is - nice aging technique!

And a dirty die it is - nice aging technique! Nah... the dice came that way. They were the "earth" flavor of a series of Elemental dice back in the early 90s o.0

I like porting skirmish rules into RPGs, I don't think it's done enough by most groups - whenever you're tempted to say "these combats are really slowing things down" you should probably be looking for a suitable set of skirmish rules to use instead. OD&D of course has the option of using Chainmail or Swords & Spells, though I wonder how many people do this. I was doing this a lot with Traveller at one point, using Tomorrow's War by Ambush Alley Games to run Adventure 7: Broadsword (with the players on the side of the rebels rather than the Imperial Oppressors, mind!).

As I'm mostly a solo gamer, a single player skirmish that I can skin to a variety of different settings really scratches several itches at once! And I became a Warhamster 40,000 playerback in 1987 looking for decent skirmish rules gor my Traveller game...

Hope you don't mind that I referenced your blog on the new Facebook Group I created for "Five Leagues from the Borderlands". Would be nice if you would post some of your experiences there.

I will see if I can find it. What is the specific group name? Speaking of which, I haven't played in a LONG time...

Not surprisingly, "Five Leagues from the Borderlands" is the group name but, if you use any filter it will be hidden for some reason.
