"I note that the southerly passage just there might eventually wind towards the entrance. The eastern passage however would appear to plumb deeper into this netherworld. In any case I must cite an intrinsic condition of the universe. We set forth in any direction which seems convenient; each leads to the same place: the end of the universe. Either road is apropos — Olaf, stay close!"
Since Orofer is holding torches, I'll transfer Lars's torches to Orofer.
You were going to have three delves with two nights rest, and then one day to get to Bier to buy more rations, now that you have two fewer in your party, but 3 freed captives, you could still manage that, especially with the two additional elves to help with foraging (not much hunting they can do since they don't have bows). I will wipe out all your rations when you get to Bier.
We let the elves gather what they wish from Brother Ursus. "As he helped us in life, so he would have wanted to help us in death" says Orofer piously. "Let's journey on"
Olaf and Erik invite the elves to take what they want of Lars's meager possessions. Erynmir takes the leather armor, shield, and sword, while Drugal takes the plate armor, mace, lantern, and backpack. They each take a wineskin. Skeggi takes Brother Ursus's holy symbol to be presented at the next temple of Mitra you visit.
Do you want to offer them a share of treasure?
Gilda will stay as safe as she can, she is unclassed...
Going east, after the jog, the passage keeps east for 80' and then opens into a large irregular space, 20' to the far wall. To the south the chamber extends 10' south of the passage. To the north, the chamber extends 30' north of the passage, with the chamber extending west, north of the passage. In the center of the 50' long east wall is a 10' passage leading east. The 20'x20' southeast corner of the chamber has weapon racks along both walls filled with weapons.
