Hi all,
So, I like fantasy novels in all forms, long and short. However, I have been longing to spend some really long time with a couple of characters again - you know, the way I used to do with "Shannara", or "The Witcher", or "The Wheel of Time", or several series by Glenn Cook. Now, as of late, I tried "Paksenarrion" - it didn't stick, and neither did Steven Erikson's books, nor the post-2000 books by Robin Hobb or Tad Williams, lamentably.
Now, I've lately gained new hope with "Kings of the Wyld", but that one is still in its baby phase, probably.
So, what would you recommend me on this misty morning? - I am open to virtually anything at this point! (I have to confess, I've been eyeing a structured Lankhmar reread, for a while, but that is both rather costly, if I am going for the Dark Horse edition, and, well, not "new".
What can you guys tell me, then? - I have been looking at the "Recluce" books, but I don't know anything about them. I have been looking at "Valdemar", but the audiobooks out for it are not great. I have been looking even at R. A. Salvatore's "Demon Wars", but I couldn't suffer another Cathy-Bree.
What shall I do, gentlemen?
Thanks,
Rafe
