Love RE Howards Conan stories. Yet I only watched the 97 TV series once in a while. I mean, it was really it's own thing wasn't it? I think I was more of a Xena fan at the time and watched that more regularly.
I'd be willing to check out a new Conan series, though. But I'm not really a GoT fan. I guess part of the reason is that I'm not really into over the top shock value in my TV shows. So, if they're modelling it after that shows success I'll probably end up passing (don't know that they are). I'm not a prude or anything. I liked watching the History channels Vikings for awhile until I lost interest. Just not into the current trend of up scaled shock value for it's own sake.

Poking around on the internet it seems like Amazon shelved this.

When I worked in video games the company I was at got the license to make a Conan game. When they did market research and focus testing they found out the game performed better and would sell more copies if it didn't have the Conan title. We dabbled with it being an original fantasy title for a while, then the publisher canned it.
Sad, because it was turning out to be a great little game.
I'm a huge Conan fan, read all the books and own the entire run of Savage Sword of Conan - which was in large part responsible for me becoming a professional artist, but it seems there is not general enthusiasm for the burly barbarian.
