You high passenger with the 10 ton ATV cargo will book a ticket to Bastinadi, he also books two more high passage tickets (these will come out at some point during your search for cargo and passengers, I just don't want to forget them, so indicating them now...). Bastinadi is Ni. Cargo and passenger rolls: Cargoes: 20 ton, 20 ton, 25 ton, 30 ton plus the 10 ton ATV mentioned above No incidental cargoes You can carry 27 tons of cargo in the bays, plus an additional 10 in the shuttle if desired. Speculative cargo: 40 tons of Fruit offer price 1100 cr per ton (44000 cr total, not a good price... I rolled 11 - 3 for Ag...) 1111 cr per ton if you don't take the whole lot. Obviously the war is affecting trade... 1 high passenger (plus those mentioned above) 4 middle passengers 16 low passengers (you could carry 1) Your life support costs are 20,100 cr (2 kcr per stateroom equivalent, plus 100 for the autodoc which counts as a low berth for life support). I'd say, skip the Fruit. I don't think we'd make anything on it. Let's see: 10 staterooms, 7 PC's, so 3 staterooms available; 27 tons cargo space + 10 tons more if we fill up the shuttle, 10 tons already occupied by the ATV, so 27 available...at most. My suggestion is to load up with 3 High Passengers and yes, take that 1 Low. With 27 tons available for cargo, take the 25 ton lot, the ATV, and just dead-head the other 2 tons. That would be 32 KCr + 35 KCr = 67 KCr - 20,100 KCr expenses for an income of 46,900 KCr. I think we bought some fuel, too, but can't remember how much that was. Does that look right? Remember you have 1 hunters suite, 8 regular staterooms, and 2 half staterooms. For 11 total separate rooms. So you can take all 4 available high passengers. You could also double bunk if you want to free up 2 additional staterooms to take 2 middle passengers. Frank

Remember, each High Passenger is allotted 1 ton of cargo space. That has to come from somewhere.

Remember, each High Passenger is allotted 1 ton of cargo space. That has to come from somewhere. Yea, I know about that one. To make things simple I assume that one ton is actually accounted for in the state rooms. Has anyone ever seen a rules example of trade actually show the 1 ton consumed? In this case even if we assume it, it's ok. Though you SHOULD only take 7 kcr cost for shipping the ATV (the 3 high passengers travelling with it can each apply their 1 ton baggage to it). I'm really not sure about that rule from a perspective of how much hold space is actually consumed... I'm generally willing to assume that space is slopped into somewhere else so we don't have to actually track the cargo space. Frank

OOC: Welcome back makofan ! And welcome Piper ! Sharron takes Jack aside, "While I think this is a good way to earn some much needed coin, I'm not sure that I trust her. Should we tail her or do some background investigation to see if her story pans out? And stop calling me 'boss'; I work for a living!" OOC: My posting will be sporadic; sorry.

Perez thinks the 25 ton cargo allotment is good. An old space-hand, he doesn't necessarily want to tie up the shuttle to hold cargo. He's willing to double-bunk, thinking extra passenger would be help with expenses. You have a confirmed contract on the 10 ton ATV so if you don’t want to occupy the shuttles hold you would not be able to take any of the cargos here. Also you will not always be able to split the larger cargos up (those FIGG probably most of the time it will be ok. You have 2 10 tin holds the 19 tin shuttle hold and the 7 ton lounge. Note that cargo stored in the lounge is less secure. Frank

OOC: To summarize: we have sold our cargo and decided against buying any spec cargo here; we've taken on a 25 dton freight shipment to Bastardi to go along with the ATV we already contracted to deliver to that system; we've taken on ?4? High Passengers for Bastardi and 1 Low Passenger; and we've agreed to try to get information on Pablo hault-Sergiones as well as contact him and pass along that his wife wants him to come home. Aren't we ready for boarding and jump?

Ok, a few hours before departure, a Subsidized Merchant (the Rising Star) lands on the adjacent pad. You would likely have a chance for a short meeting with the captain if you desire.

Jack says "It never hurts to gather information. Who wants to meet the captain with me?" "You go make friends and gather intell." Logan says with a grin, "I'll see to getting the passengers settled and make sure the cargo is strapped down and won't be bouncing around when we take off."

[OOC:]Piper - just a reminder that Perez is co-captain or something - you both shared the grant of the ship - you and coffee (Henry) might want to work out what that means.[/ooc]

Oh, and a little fixup:
It actually doesn't affect your finances, they will be happy to double up (so effectively they each pay for one leg of high passage for the trip to Bastinadi.
