I've just skimmed this so far, I'll give it a more thorough reading later - but this is very well done. The art is fantastic, and it looks like you filled in a lot of the missing bits absent from White Box. Also, I'm glad to see my 'Essential Adventuring Rules' were useful to you!

Thanks Merias! I'm happy you liked it. And yes, your "essential adventuring rules" were indeed very helpful. Thank you for putting them together.

I confess, I still don't understand and/or like trade-out treasure but that aside, I think this is just about the perfect White Box! Thanks

Mike, I'm glad you like it.
I thought about changing the treasure trade out system, but ultimately I wanted to keep the games as close to the original WhiteBox as possible.
I think I prefer a treasure system that is closer to original D&D. So I may put out a supplement or something with a different treasure system later.

Looks great! One can only hope it will someday come as three digest-sized books in an actual white box.

This looks awesome! Thank you!
I have the original and new mythmere pdfs, had the bhp boxed set, and my hardcopy for play is the bhp single volume. I think layout and interior art of this new version is the best so far!

Hey, you're welcome Jeffb. I'm very happy you like it.
This game was made by a fan for the fans. So if the White Box community likes it; there is nothing that says it was a success better than that.

I do have the OD&D, S&W:WB, Delving Deeper, and X-plorers white boxes. Any I’m missing, other than the C&C one?

Hi Lou, The black and white cover print on demand is available now www.lulu.com/shop/charles-mason/white-box/paperback/product-22826495.html for $4.99. If you would prefer one of the color covers, they are currently in process and will be available soon. They will be printed on higher quality paper and the price will be a little higher (working out the details on that) but still very reasonable.

Thanks Simon! Making it look cool was definitely one of the goals. Art is subjective but I hoped most would like it.

Great covers!
I've seen the B/W one of the tree somewhere before. Is it "public"? I'd love to DL it for my home game.
My favorite is that dragon cover. Epic without being "overly-produced".

Thanks Idrahil. The tree cover pic is from a William McAusland art pack from Rpgnow: Art Pack

This is the "OSR" version of the Original rules I recommend to anyone who doesn't want to muddle their way through the original (not that I see a problem with that, but different strokes, etc.). The rules are well laid out and so simple that they're compatible with just about anything "old school" D&D or based on the SRD. I also love that there is a variety of cover pieces to appeal to different audiences (I have the red dragon cover myself). But the new cover is fantastic...

I still have my White Box box... is there a list of changes from the first print run?
