Apparently the Star Trek TV reboot series is going to be called "Star Trek Discovery." Teaser released at ComicCon. link to storyI'm kind of bummed. If I read the article correctly, the pilot will be on regular CBS TV but the rest of the series will be on "CBS All Access," which I'm guessing is a pay for view like Netflix.

The CGI used for the ship is great... Back in 1994!
Hopefully that was just a proof-of-concept footage, otherwise it looks like they don't have their $#@& together.

As of right now I plan to subscribe to the whatchamacallit and watch the show. Looks like it will be picking up where Enterprise left off — maybe a Romulan War epic? Poor effects = good scripts, maybe.

Bryan Fuller has been talking about doing a Star Trek show for years. His original idea for the cast was Angela Bassett as the Captain and Rosario Dawson as the First.
That is not happening now, but chances are pretty good that the Captain is going to be a woman.

For me, Star Trek ended on June 3, 1969 (or, perhaps, on Dec. 6, 1991).
