For many moons now I've been running an AD&D campaign sent in Wilderland (that is, the lands shown on the map in The Hobbit). I ignore The Lord of the Rings, both its geography and history.

This series is fantastic. At times I "lose the plot" translating the non gaming source material into gaming material.
This does a great job of grounding things, and comes at the erfect time as I have been working on setting up a middle earth campaign and house rules.
