That's right, as hamurai said - no need for Prentice if you have Journeymanne. One's 1st-3rd level, the other 1st-20th. One's public domain art, the other's new original art. One's the gateway drug, the other's for hardcore addicts. oh, did I type that out loud, I just meant to think it ...

And if you buy the hardcopy from Lulu, you'll get an email telling you how to get the PDF for free.

This seems a pretty good spot to say that one of the members is starting a Bluholme Journeymanne Play-by-Post over on Unseen Servant: www.unseenservant.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7689You have to register on the site to post and play, but anyone can lurk. The DM is going with Harn as a setting. Should be interesting. --Ron--

I just received the Lulu hardcover version, and it looks great. After looking over a lot of rules sets, Blueholme seemed the easiest/most familiar feeling retroclone for use at Garycon in March. I've had my session accepted, and will post something on that as the con approaches.

My Blueholme hardcover arrived yesterday and it’s pretty dang gorgeous- I have the pdf but I need a book -book!
Some of the new monsters are awesome. I did have a question about the Cyclopians, am I correct in reading that the females are not one eyed and look little different than elf kind?

My players haven't ventured there yet, but cyclopians are the dominant humanoid in a swamp to the south-west in The Known World of Blueholme. It's known as Moldvay Marsh, and at its centre a rocky promontory bears Cook Castle above the noxious vapours.

Thanks! And here I thought it came from an influence of the movie Krull! I dig these monsters. Good job.

PS - Hope the move is going well Vile. I guess, as these things go - but bureaucracy has sure ramped up a few notches in the decade-and-a-half that I was away!

I read the PDF today, very well done. The multi-class / race solution was very nice and refreshing. Got me thinking it would be simple to trade a few class powers here and there to really customize when someone is after a certain build. Like Neutral Cleric who is more a Druid could Drop Turning and pick up something like Natural Affinity (Give them the ID Pure Water/Plants and passthrough undergrowth). etc....
One thing I noticed was Nixie -> Pixie have different hd 1d4 vs 1d8 .. Original Holmes has 1d8 for each. (I only noticed because I always think about running a Pixie Wizard ) Not sure if that was intended or not.
