I'm curious if anyone else has played any of the 5E modules put out by Goodman Games. Like most of their recent modules, each of the FEF product line is a thin module, perhaps 16 pages or so, with cardstock cover. In many ways they remind me of some of the old school TSR modules, but with larger font size. (Blind guy appreciates this, by the way. )
I've been running Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Rise of Tiamat for my 5E Adventurer's League group at the local game store for around a year and felt I needed to shake things up a bit, so I dusted off and ran FEF #2 "The Fey Sister's Fate" for my group last Wednesday and we had a blast. I'm not sure if it was because we were back to level one characters, if it was because we had a slightly different group than usual, or if it was because of the module itself, but honestly it was the most fun I've had running 5E in quite a while.
Minor spoiler: We had a blast fighting giant frogs and giant mosquitoes. Heck, we almost had a TPK fighting the giant mosquitoes.
Anyway, if anyone is interested Goodman has put out several of these and I thought I'd spread the word a little.
FEF #1 = Glitterdoom (level 3 adventure)
FEF #2 = The Fey Sister's Fate (level 1 adventure)
FEF #3 = The Pillars of Pelaga (level 3 adventure)
FEF #4 = War-Lock (level 5 adventure)
FEF #5 = Into the Dragon's Maw (level 12 adventure)
I know that #1 and #2 are out in print already, and #5 was a "free RPG day" release. I did a kickstart for #3 and #4 and I think they are supposed to be out soon. If I have enough time before I start the next official Adventurer's League module, I imagine a campaign starting with Fey Sistters, then moving on to Glitterdoom and Pillars, and ending with War-Lock. I suspect that I will never have interest in running anything for level 12 characters, so Dragon's Maw will probably continue to collect dust.
